“Could have been more comfortable with some minor enhancements.”
Proximity to the trail head is great. Free parking also. Small shop in the reception for gifts or practical items. Staff were friendly.

“Great place for starting your Chirripo adventure”
The hotel is as close as you can get to the entrance for the Chirripo National Park. The rooms are nice, simple and with everything you need. The staff is really helpful and nice. There's even a physiotherapy place located in the hotel. The bonus of this place is that you can leave your car park there until you come back from the hike and they also lend you the showers afterwards.

The place is an ideal starting point for the Cerro Chirripo hike. Parking your car here while you are on the hike is allowed at no extra charge which is definitely a plus. It was possible to adjust the time of breakfast so that we could make an early start. The rooms are simple, but good size and the beds are comfortable. Washing machine was not mentioned in the description, but there is one and we could have our laundry done for a reasonable price.

“Perfect location to go to Chirripo”
The location is excellent to go to Chirripo National Park. Just about 50m and you are in the beginning of the track. When leaving early for the hike, they pack you your breakfast. Room had all you need, basic stuff. Bed was clean and had blankets also. You can leave your car in the parking lot if you stay overnight in the national park. Very convinient.

we didn’t have high expectations, just wanted a hotel close to the trail entrance and hotel uran was a good choice; comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, luggage storage and breakfast to go for poeople starting their chirripo trekking very early

“Hiking accomodation - perfect starting point”
Hotel Uran is perfect starting point for hike to Cerro Chirripó or other hikes around San Gerardo. We had a room with bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was large, perfect start for yours active (hiking) day.

Location, it was very close to the Chirripo hiking trail. There was a restaurant there where we could eat. We were given packed lunch to take on the hike with us since we wanted to depart before the kitchen opened.
