Relais Casa Orter is a converted 18th-century countryside mansion set in Risano, 13 km from Udine. It features a gourmet restaurant, a large garden with hundred-year-old live oaks and air-conditioned rooms with free wired internet. “Exceptional hosts”
You arrive as a hotel guest but when you leave it's like saying goodbye to dear friends. Annalisa and Roberto are the perfect hosts. They are kind, friendly and great fun. The food in the restaurant is delicious and their daughter is an excellent waitress. The after-dinner concert is so special. The room is quiet and comfortable. We hope to return for a third visit.

The accommodation was nice, clean with very comfortable bed, house beautifully decorated. Ancient space, surrounded by big garden, gives you a special feeling. Perfect location. Good , rich breakfast. I'm glad I discovered this place. Lisa, great and warm-hearted owner. Thank you.

On my travels, I have rarely seen such exceptionally clean and lovingly maintained accommodation. The staff are kind and helpful. The room is adequately equipped, and the mattresses are comfortable. The hotel was not noisy. Breakfast is not a typical hotel buffet, but they will prepare anything you wish. I recommend it to everyone, even for a longer stay.

Everything! From the accommodation and location to the lovely hosts and the warm atmosphere – everything was perfect. This was our second time staying here, and if we travel to Italy again, we will definitely come back. This time, we planned our stay so we could visit their restaurant, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The food, the atmosphere, and the mini concert made it a special evening and a wonderful bonus to our stay. The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom is just amazing. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay – even slippers, a coffee machine with capsules, and a small fridge. The decoration of the rooms, hallways, and the outdoor area creates a magical and welcoming feeling. If it was possible to give more than 10 points, this place would definitely deserve it.

Amazing estate. Wonderful hosts, top food AND suprise live piano and harp concert by the owners. What an amazing surprise!!! Top quality, we will go back very often. Mille grazie :-))) Fantastic quality dinner and top quality breakfast !!! The owners are also professional musicians, who studied in Venice and Trieste. Top, top, top!!

The stay exceeded our expectations. The hostess was excellent, very pleasant, and helpful. The apartment's decor was breathtaking and authentic. The restaurant was closed during our stay, but the hostess very willingly and gladly made a reservation for us at a nearby restaurant. In the morning, she prepared an amazing and delicious breakfast for us. We will definitely be happy to return here next year.

“Incredible hotel with the nicest owners”
The owners are probably the nicest I have encountered in many years of travelling. The building is wonderful, the room excellent and the atmosphere magical. The restaurant is not only spectacular but incredibly good value for money. The food was way above our expectations. What a great family who own this. We cannot wait for our next visit.

“Lovely hosts”
This is just the most amazing place. The hotel is stylish and the restaurant is outstanding. The owners are the loveliest people you could imagine. The chef is amazing. The waitress, Emily, is lovely. Annalisa is always smiling, speaks excellent English, and is a fantastic harpist. The music at the end of our meal made the whole stay special. We plan to return next year.
