Great price. Large dorm with curtain round bed so felt private.

We stayed at the end of June 2025 in Bona Vida Hostel. The rooms are exactly as shown in the picture and the bed was comfy with sufficient plugs next to the bed. The location is great - close to the beach and most cafes and restaurants in town. Breakfast was provided one block away in the connected Bona Vida Hostel and was plenty with many options. Overall a good option for a stay in Riohacha (e.g. before going on a trip to La Guajira as we did) - however, maybe a bit pricy for what you get compared to other hostels in Colombia and also the staff was not as friendly as we experienced elsewhere. But nothing major.

Included cafe y aqua; lockers grandes y small for valuabels, every bed has a Lamp, power plug y shelf🙏; The pool has Sun in forenoon; on top of the hostel is a comfortable nice bar, which doesn't botter you to consume something, you can use the kitchen in the Apartment house of the hostel, half Block away, where the breakfast is. Breakdance was jummy; The prices are absolutely fair, I can highly recommend although I had "to fight" with an empoyee for "My" comfortable AC Temperaturen in the dorm

People don‘t come to Riohacha for transport reasons not the hostels … This one is much better than one could expect.

Great little hostel and nice staff. I could keep my bag in storage while doing the tour and work from the hostel while I was waiting for my night bus. Plus there are super chilled cats 😻

“Great base for a Guajira visit.”

It has everything needed as a base for a visit to the Guajira. We booked our tour here and left our big bags while we were away. We stayed in the dorm which was comfortable and loved the pool, the coffee and the great breakfast.

Loved the pool, the clean bathrooms, the ac at night in the dorms, and the great staff. And of course the cats too. Great area of riohacha too, close to the beach

After spending 3 days in La Guajira desert, wanted to get a rest there but should have gone straight to Palomino. Already when I got there, i was welcomed in the dorm with an upstairs bed while I asked to be moved downstairs for packing all my things easier but I was facing a NO while being second to enter the dorm. Then I asked for AC as it was burning inside the room but the receptionist told me only at 8pm while it was 7:50… think he could have be arranging for 10 minutes only as for the bed before. After all this I wanted to go shower and relax but there is only one shower with an automatic light in it. Imagine being dirty after 3 days in desert but you have to move every 10 seconds otherwise you in the dark. Then i wanted to sleep but imagine then my surprise when I went and my fan wasn’t working at all while i got the upstairs bed the most far of the common dorm AC. I had a terrible night, moreover people in the dorm started speaking at 7am and not closing the dorm door while there were others like me trying to rest. For completing it all, the luggage room is inside the dorm for the rest of the hostel so a lot of walk in from dorm foreigners and receptionist. WHAT A DISAPPOINTED SERVICE. Leave rather than plan to rest in there

Great beds with plugs. Multiple clean bathrooms. Staff super helpful with finding tours. Restuarant upstairs nice. Pool small but ok.

Such a great hostel. The whole set up is lovely and the staff are great. It has everything you need too: comfy beds with curtains and AC (set not too high or too low), a pool, and tasty breakfast + both a kitchen and restaurant bar. The other guests staying when I stayed were also great. Wish I could have stayed longer!
