Beautiful accomodation in the riverside. Bungalows are clean, spacious, and well equipped until the last details. This is a good example for doing the best, not just sufficient. The food is exceptional! There is an option for a river cruise on demand. The owner, and the staff, were very kind. Definitely recommended!

We only stayed one night at Tortugal, but we really enjoyed our time there. Angela, the owner, is an absolute gem, so kind, welcoming, and attentive. She really makes you feel at home. The food was fantastic. We had the seafood soup and it was incredibly flavorful, rich and satisfying. We stayed in bungalow 3, which has a beautiful direct view of the lake. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower had excellent hot water and the terrace was easily one of the best parts of the stay. The only downside was the traffic noise from the bridge nearby. If you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs is a must. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

My bungalow was comfortable and had the necessary amenities. Breakfast and dinner were also great and the staff was really nice and helpful.

Great position on the water, friendly staff and a great manager in Angela. The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable, lean and with an excellent hot shower.

Angela and Leo and the staff were fantastic.We felt really cared for. Angela completely organised us with the boat tour to Livingstone ( fantastic trip but personally I would not recommend Livingstone overnight) The food at the hotel is good. One of the best customer care was the shuttle to Flores was delayed by 3 hours. Leo informed us of the delay in the morning and said to use the room longer saving us 3 hours at the meeting point in Rio Dulce. The rooms are clean and insect proof. There is a lovely walk through the plantation at the back of the property and about an hours walk to the castle. The staff make this a special place

Perfect place to stay at the river. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice shower, good wifi. The staff is really nice and helpful. Especially Angela, who gave a lot of recommendations about tours, also to nice locations which you can visit with local transport. It’s also one the few accomodations you can leave and enter by foot, in the back there is a path that leads toto the main road, through mangroves and a plantation. Also a good restaurant with nice views. They have free pickup and dropping you at arrival/departure in town.

Nice hotel by the water. We stayed in a nicely decorated bungalow by the water with a nice balcony where you really feel like in the jungle with all the nature sounds. Nice and helpful staff that help us move around with their boat. The food of the restaurant is very tasty.

Superb service, extremely helpful with accommodating our travel inquiries before, during and after our stay. Bar and restaurant closes quite early which means peace and quiet in the nights.
