“Rio on a Shoestring”
I liked this hotel. Good restaurant and cafe next door accessible from the hotel. Great for my overnight stay en route to Antigua.

The hotel jetty where the boat to Livingston came to collect me. Shower was the best I had in Guatemala!

“Rio Dulce , great value.”
Rooms were great except for lack of hot water. Beds were super comfy and rooms were nice and clean. Café close and restaurant just as close and all are right on the water! And just across the bridge from the bus station !

“A great passage to Rio Dulce!”
Very good location, nice view of the lake! Very good communication with the stuff! We had an issue during our stay in guatemala and they canceled for free our initial booking without confirming that we would rebook the room!! Big and comfortable beds. Bathroom was a bit small but still you could move inside!

“Alternative to river lodges.”
A return trip to Rio Dulce so thought we would stay in town this time. The hostal is clean and tidy and has a very clean pool. Food options close by and places to check out either by foot or collectivo as always. All in all a pleasant stay whilst winding our way through C.A

Really friendly staff - especially Emmanuel who helped us organise our plans for Rio Dulce / Livingston. Nice new hotel, everything was clean room was spacious.

Nestled on the lake shore below the bridge between a lovely restaurant and yacht club. There is a pier to take a ferry to Livingston. Beautiful swimming pool. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
