Boatique is a lovely place. Very convenient for Rio Dulce but also as a base to explore the river, lakes, caribbean coast and Livingston. The rivers and lakes are stunning. Accommodation is lovely. Pool is great to have. Very nice restaurant with daily specials. We also had a massage and a great full-day boat trip to Playa Blanca and Livingstone. It was a relaxing stay in the jungle with the sound of the howler monkeys, and humming birds doing their thing while you are eating breakfast.

Very nice accommodation, beautiful views, warm water. Very nice pool, huge amount of beautiful plants. You can see animals like monkeys, iguanas.

Lovely hotel, small, very friendly and great value for money. We stayed in the deluxe bungalows and had everything we needed in them. The bed was really comfy and was interesting sleeping under the local thatched roof. As others have said the stairs up to the bed area are steep but climb them steadily and they are absolutely fine. Loved the location, quiet (apart from the wonderful nature around) but only 5 mins by boat to Rio Dulce. We had 3 breakfast and 3 evening meals and all great.

Boatique Hotel & Marina was far beyond our expectations. From the moment the boat arrived at the dock, we immediately felt that this place had a very special atmosphere. Everything seems carefully designed to make guests enjoy an unforgettable stay. Our room was cozy, charming, and very well laid out, with the bed upstairs. The staircase is a bit steep, but that is clearly shown in the photos, so it was not a problem at all. The whole setting is beautiful: lush greenery, flowers everywhere, lovely wooden walkways, and a peaceful natural environment. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and perfectly integrated into the surroundings. The pool is a real highlight: beautifully landscaped and perfect for relaxing. We also really enjoyed the restaurant: the menu is not huge, but there is something for everyone, the dishes were very good and the prices felt very reasonable for such a nice place. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful, and everything felt extremely well maintained and carefully managed. The owners are discreet and let the staff handle things smoothly, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. We were only supposed to stay one night, but ended up extending by two more nights, and we could not have been happier. What is even more impressive is that the weather was quite rainy during our stay, and we still absolutely LOVED the place. That says a lot. Congratulations to the owners for creating such a special gem of a place.

This place is wonderful for nature lovers! I can stay there all day to see birds and amphibians. The owner has great taste and has done an excellent job with the spatial design. All the staff are kind and helpful. A lot of thanks to them.

“Gorgeous option in Rio dulce”

Little pricey but to be expected since it’s out on the water. Super comfy dorm rooms and very clean shared bathrooms. Loved the pool area & helpful staff to book tours

“A really beautiful location with stunning scenery, great food and staff”

The property is beautiful and so well cared for. Our room (the queen room) was gorgeous and very peaceful, we loved looking at birds and frogs from the outside area. The staff were all really friendly and happy to help. We had a day trip around the local sites which we absolutely loved and would recommend. The food was all outstanding, we read that the portions were small in a couple of reviews but I totally disagree, we felt they were more than enough and excellent quality. The pool area was nice to relax in and the communal areas were all great. We loved watching the birds on the water at dusk and dawn, great area if you’re a birder.

Fabulous setting with beautiful surroundings, really friendly staff, particularly Shemmy and Agosto who went the extra mile with service. Food was really tasty with good portion sizes. The room was spacious and at a lovely temperature. Plenty of nature around and the pool is great. Great attention to detail and the thought that has gone into the design and environmentally friendly aspect of the place is superb.

“A luxury eco lodge”

This is the most beautiful of all the hotels we stayed in in Guatemala. It is situated on the river, surrounded by vegetation (and monkeys) and each cabin is spacious and spotlessly clean. The food is delicious and the staff, super friendly and helpful. A perfect place to relax and appreciate the beauty of your surroundings.

Everything - what a fantastic stay. So relaxing, beautiful layout and design, friendly staff and fantastic location on the river (especially when coming from Livingston, so you get to do the whole river on your way)

Nice, charming, serene place to stay at Rio Dulce. Lots of shared space, nice pool, library and open kitchen. They offer different tours and activities onsite. We eat special type of food and they did their best and adopted the meals according to our needs. Attentive and friendly staff.

“Relaxing spot surrounded by nature”

Facilities were pretty comfy, we enjoyed the outdoor areas the most (hammock in the common area and the little veranda at the back of the cottage). It was a peaceful stay surrounded by nature. Staff was accommodating and attentive, even though we had a couple outings outside their usual service hours.

Amazing stay, amazing floating small boutique hotel! Your on a floating heaven in nature where the local people, culture and food is respected highly. Food is good, local and very fresh. So also very fair prices. The staff is really amazing, they are so helpfull. Also the owners were really friendly! Recommended to do their entire day trips.

This is truly a wonderful place, great location, nice staff and good food. We stayed in a bungalow, which was really comfortable. A big plus for us; they care about sustainability (for the local society and the natural environment).

Almost impossible to beat the location. Build into the mangroves. You wake up with the sound of howler-monkeys. Restaurant serves good food. Tip: if you are with three, just book a whole 4 persons-dorm.
