Located in the famous and bohemian neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, Sugar Loft is set in a building built in the 1930s and since then completely modernised. “Needs more attention during their renovation”
The bed was massive comfortable and with clean bedding, with a basic shower but good temperature. Overall the height of the ceiling was good so didn’t feel too hot or stuffy inside. Fine if you’re staying for a couple days but I stayed for a week and found it a lot of work. I felt fine walking around but because I had been here before it might shock some people with the steepness of the hills and homeless people sleeping nearby.

“get somewhere better and closer, the view is not worth it.”
the view is def amazing, however I fear that was the only exceptional point of the place. the kitchen was well equipped, there was everything I could possible need and that was really good. also i could wash my clothes very well and there was already soap on the place. the balcony was also really nice by the view, however zero privacy.

The neighborhood was nice and calm and very safe, close to metro station ( 15 minutes away ). The staff was fine, we kept in touch through WhatsApp. Very good value for money.

“Great Location, in the heart of Santa Teresa”
The host, was an excellent host. He gave us some recommendations of what places to visit around the area. Many bars, local restaurants, street art and more things that you would love. I would leave some photos showing the things that are near this wonderful place. He was also so very helpful when it came to the date of check out.

“AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!”

“Room with a view”
I love the location the View is Spectacular. The area is safe easy to public transportation. Oh the Yellow Train. The safety of the building and surroundings lots of Restaurants and Bars

Beautiful apartment with breathtaking views! Great location, safe, close to tourist attractions, grocery store, coffeeshop, restaurants. It was very calm over the weekdays and a bit noisy on weekend nights as people had fun outside.

“ABSOLUTE HORROR. UNCLEAN, UNFRIENDLY, UNSAFE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!”
135 degree views of the Sugarloaf and Rio, but that’s it. If you are visiting, you are not staying inside the whole day anyway, there really is no point to book a place just for its views.
