“Incredible time in Rio”

I enjoyed staying here a lot. The views were breathtaking, the staff were super super friendly and helpful and the vibes were so calm and immaculate.

The location has a superlative view, it’s impossible to deny that. You feel like wanting to stay forever in the rooftop. But nothing is perfect, and arriving and leaving the pousada is by far not as convenient as being in other places with metro or Ubers within easy reach, so bear this in mind when booking. We already had this idea so we split our stay in Rio between 3 nights in Zona Sul and 2 nights in Rio144 and absolutely recommend it. The staff (Thalita) was always nice and available, the breakfast is lovely (not buffet fyi, so smaller portions are served) and the room is beautiful and comfortable.

EVERYTHING!!!!! Breakfast, room, views and service are excellent. This hotel definitely raised our standards for all the next ones haha!

Thalita and Lucas were exceptional. The property has a lovely boutique feel, with beautiful views and a warm, personal atmosphere. It feels more personal and characterful than a mainstream hotel, with charming touches like Flash, the adorable little dog, who adds so much personality to the stay. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out and made the experience feel special. I also loved that the bathroom was stocked with Granado products for showering, such a thoughtful touch, and I liked them so much that I’ll be looking for more in the London stores.

Beautiful pousada with stylish and comfortable rooms, unbelievable views ...and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Fab breakfast provided in the roof terrace. They kindly arranged two massages, which were VERY good. I also fell in love with Flash, the cute little dog and man of the house. It felt like being a guest in someone's very nice home. I also appreciated there was no TV, which enabled me to read, relax, and just enjoy the view at sunrise and sunset. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was great, the choices and the sytem of ordering were good. Lovely staff preparing it! The couple who run the hotel Lucas and Thalita are AMAZING. The owner is so lucky to have them. Always available and always friendly. I loved the design especially downstairs and the attention to detail is amazing. The sunhats and baskets with Rio144 etc etc. The facility for early check in after a Europe flight in that lovely room and that MESMERising view.

Very clean and homely

I loved everything! The hotel offered an 'honesty' system and we were able to help ourselves to drinks and food from the freezer and pay when we booked out. The room and the view were incredible. The view from the roof top terrace gave us an amazing view of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer - an absolute million dollar view!

Amazing stay from start to finish. The view is absolutely stunning, and the property itself is beautifully designed with a lot of thoughtful details. You can tell real care went into creating the space. The owners are incredibly welcoming and kind, and the staff does an excellent job making sure everything runs smoothly.

“Stunning views of the city”

This butique hotel has the best view from anywhere in the entire city, hands down stunning. There is an infinity pool, an honest bar, delicious breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the harbour, and so much more to enjoy.

Our stay at this hotel in Rio 144 was absolutely unforgettable. From the very beginning, the staff stood out with their friendliness and willingness to help with anything we needed — no matter how big or small. One of the highlights was the open bar concept combined with paying everything at check-out, which made the whole experience feel effortless and relaxing. A special thank you goes to Stale and Jean, who were truly the best hosts we could have asked for. They were not only incredibly helpful and full of great tips, but also wonderful to talk to. Whether we were chatting about life or learning how to make the perfect caipirinha, we genuinely enjoyed every moment with them. The views were simply breathtaking — both from our room and from the hotel pool. Waking up to such scenery felt like a dream. We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back!

We had the best time at Rio144. It feels so homely and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the breakfast and lunch were excellent. Our favorite part was being able to make our own cocktails such a special touch.

The location could not have been better, I felt the views from the pool area and the room were amazing and especially at sunrise. The staff were friendly and so helpful no matter what you ask of them. This really was a place to relax.
