real 24hr reception, whatsapp support for any need. very cool and friendly staff. fun hostel mood, easygoing people. lot of fridges. private rooms on 2nd floor are great. both international mood + Carioca vibes. common spaces are relaxed and great. cutie kitten, art everywhere and guitars

It's an old colonial house with a good vibe and located in Santa Teresa neighborhood downhill. Nearby Lapa. Awesome if you want to experience the samba on the street on the weekend. The breakfast is big with everything. It's a goof value for money if you want to stay near the city centre.

A home away from home and such a cool place in itself. I had a wonderful stay here, it was the highlight of my trip. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The hosts were outstanding, they all made so much effort with me. I can’t wait to come back, thank you so much. Obrigada!

it’s a beautiful building in a fantastic location and retains a type of calm that’s very difficult to find in Rio. This place felt like a second home to me for a few weeks, I will definitely be coming back. A special shout out to Andres who made me feel so welcome and who’s amazing energy is infectious!

Highly recommended! The best hostel I've been so far! The position is really good, only 5min away to the famous Escadaria Selaròn and really close to the Lapa neighborhood. The hostel itself is very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms get cleaned everyday and the sheets provided are immaculate and smell really good. The best thing is the garden and generally speaking the common areas. Everyone here is really friendly and the staff courtesy is yet to be found in other places. They will do anything to make you comfortable and accomodate your needs. Special thanks go to Andres, thank you for having made me feel like at home❤️

“Good value for money hostel in Rio”

Very friendly staff, clean facilities, dormitory beds have curtains and own light and plug, lockers for everyone in the rooms, plus air conditioning. Breakfast is included and for sure a big plus for this hostel: they serve tea, coffee, juice, bread, ham, cheese, jam, margarine, dulce de leche, granola and fruits.

Good location in such a lively neighbourhood, satisfying cleanliness and a simple decent breakfast makes Mambembe a nice worthy choice. But nothing of that beats the staff. The staff group is beyond any compliment. Absolutely friendly, respectful and genuinely supportive. These guys are just great! 😌👌
