Good location and very friendly staff.

We had a private room, which was very spacious and clean. We also felt very safe and comfortable using the common areas. The other guests were kind and approachable as well as the staff. There is always something social going on and there is a possibility to arrange activities outside the hostel with the people living there. The location is also good, close to the metro and popular bars in the neighbourhood.

The place is near to Botafogo train station, Santos Dumont airport,, bars, supermarket and easy to go to the most famous spots of the city by Uber. Staff was friendly as I've never experienced before and some of them speaking English. They are aware of where and when to go with suggestions and tips from Christ the Redeemer to the night life. There is a mix of guests from their early 20's up to early 40's. It's a good mix where you can meet people with similar vibes and very respectful to each other. Regular staff cleaning the bathrooms and shared areas throughout the day and 24h receptionists. Air conditioner in the bedrooms too.

Well located, on Mena Barreto Street, a busy and safe street in the Botafogo neighborhood. For me, one of the best areas in Rio de Janeiro. The experience was very good. The hostel crowd is lively, and the staff are helpful. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens are well organized and clean. In the rooms, there is air conditioning from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. But the best part is the cold bear and the pool table… I will definitely return to the hostel. That´s how I rate it.

Perfect hostel for Backpackers and for people travelling for work. Great location as it is close to some of Rio’s most popular bars and a 5 minute walk to the metro.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Transferring from another hostel n having stuff stolen, being greeted by a friendly smile and kind words at the reception means a lot. Marble in the bathroom. Shared spaces well decorated n furnished. Availability of games. Activities planned as well. Enjoyed the breakfast. Fruits, toast, desserts n beverages. Location is relatively near to the metro (botafogo)

“Super friendly staff, clean and nice hostel”

The staff was friendly and helpful, all the common areas were super clean, organized and comfy. Bathroom had 3 showers and 3 toilet, they were clean and they were never too busy. The neighbourhood is really good, had a couple of options for eating, Botafogo beach which has a nice view or Vermelha beach if you want to go for a dip in the water; all walkable distances.

Shared kitchen to cook. Staff able to speak English. 2-3km to nearer visiting point of interest by Uber.

Great location close to restaurants and bars in Botafogo. Clean rooms and good hot showers. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and filtered water.

“A friendly and comfortable stay in Botafogo”

I was fleeing from a very disappointing hostel in Copacabana where staff treated you like a nuisance when I reached Gaia. I found Christian, the attentive and caring receptionist who turned my holiday around. He found time to help me think through my travel plans and gave me the best advice I could have got. I can't thank him enough. Besides this, the place is clean, comfortable, well-located and great value for money.

Before coming to Rio, I was a bit worried about safety, but this hostel completely put my mind at ease. It has its own secure entrance, which made me feel very safe. The metro station is just a few minutes’ walk, making transportation super convenient. There are several supermarkets nearby, which is very handy, and the beach is only about a 20-minute walk away—perfect for a stroll or relaxing. I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely choose this hostel again next time I visit Rio!

“Good for short stay”

It's pretty close to Botafogo beach and mall The street felt safe within a few minutes walk from restaurants. Staff were nice. Room was big with an extra single bed. Bathroom was clean and quite big for ny expectations.

Best people, comfortable hostel and nice facilities. More probabilities to meet people who travel from Brazil compared to other party hostels. They leave your space but at the same time make you feel like at home. Had the opportunity to find really nice people who I can call friends.
