Overview
A charming country house inspired by English heritage, The Lakehouse features wooden ceiling beams and four-poster beds. Sitting on a hill in Cameron Highlands, the hotel offers guided jungle treks. The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands Resort is 1 km above sea level and overlooks Sultan Abu Bakar Lake. The nearest town, Ipoh, is a 90-minute drive away, while Kuala Lumpur is a 3-hour drive away. Rooms at The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands feature antique pieces, such as an antique table fan and a rotary dial telephone. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and a vanity area with a full-length mirror. Room service is also available. Guests can settle into one of the cosy armchairs at the Reading Room and enjoy quiet moments by the fireplace. There is also a games room where guests can play board games. A beautiful and peaceful stay at The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands. Set on a hillside overlooking a lake, just outside the busier towns of Tanah Rata and Ringlet, the hotel offers a quiet, relaxing escape surrounded by gardens, birdsong, and rainforest.

Service is good. The warm welcome from Balqis and the manager Miss Samantha made us feel at home. The scenery and overall ambience in the interior and exterior is nice and relaxing.

“Great views, exceptional staff!”
This was the “splurge” part of my trip and it really ended up being a very luxurious and peaceful experience. The hotel is located in a really beautiful part of Ringlet with a beautiful view. The rooms make you feel like you’re back in time in a good way :) while others have raved about the hotel. I will say that the staff were the STARS of my stay. They went above and beyond to make me feel computable. From Shantini ans Balqis on the front desk, to Thilaga and Parmesh in the dining room, to the hotel manager Samantha, to several other members of the staff - everyone was very kind and sweet and had exceptional attention to detail when serving me. It was a beautiful stay for me!

Beautiful well maintained old building with stunning gardens and views. Probably the best service we have received in Malaysia. Food was excellent and prices fair. We will gladly return when next in the area.

This is a beautiful place with good location. They had very antique furnishing and very English feel. Absolutely cozy and warm. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast place was also beautiful. Felt like we were in some village in Europe.

“Great place to stay, would recommend”
We stayed in the Foster suite for two nights. We enjoyed staying at the Lakehouse and would recommend this place. The level of service offered by the staff is impeccable and the hotel features a beautifully maintained lawn/garden offering plenty of space to enjoy the views around the hotel. The breakfast offers a good variety of options and as someone who often goes to the gym offers plenty of protein options in addition to the sweet and savoury options provided through the a-la-carte menu. The restaurant space (where the breakfast is served too) is beautiful and much more modern than the rest of the lakehouse’s interior. The food offered in the restaurant was of Ok-to-good quality depending on the dish. The short rib was an excellent dish. Yes, like read in the comments, the lake is brown and muddy though this does not downgrade the pleasure of staying at the Lakehouse.
