“A Beautiful Surprise – Warm, Welcoming and Full of Charm”

We travelled as a family of four (two adults, two children) and originally chose this location because of its proximity to Playa de las Catedrales. We never expected to find such a lovely place – it was a wonderful surprise! Anna, the owner, welcomed us warmly and showed us around the house. She has an incredibly positive, warm, and inviting presence that made us feel instantly comfortable. As a special treat, she had sweets for the children, which they absolutely loved. She also left water and beer in the fridge as a welcome gift – such a nice gesture! The house itself is beautiful, with a charming mix of old and modern elements. It is tastefully decorated and feels both cozy and stylish. Everything was perfectly clean. But what impressed us most was the outdoor space: the terrace is beautifully arranged, very comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. We had the option to eat both inside the house and outside on the terrace, which was a real pleasure. Our children had lots of fun playing outside. The whole outdoor area is secured with a gate, so we felt completely safe. We were also able to park our car conveniently right in front of the house. Just a short walk away, there was a Mercadona supermarket, which made shopping easy. As a bonus, the local tourist office recommended a scenic walk to a lighthouse nearby – it was a beautiful experience. There was no sign of mass tourism, and the area felt peaceful and authentic. All in all, a truly special stay – we would come back anytime!

The host Ana, was fantastic, our sat nav wouldn't pick up the address so she drove into town to meet us and guide us to the property.. The apartment was very clean and had everything you would need (apart from a kettle but that seems to be a spanish thing!!). A very easy walk to 2 supermarkets for all you might need. A short drive to the beautiful coast line.

Ana’s welcome was warm, friendly and caring. The house is beautifully presented with every detail considered for a comfortable stay from well sized firm-enough bed, quality linen, luxurious toiletries and towels to wi-fii and extensive kitchen equipment with tea/coffee and oils/condiments for cooking. We ran a quick washing cycle (tablets provided) and used the outdoor airer. There’s ample gated parking and well-tended outdoor spaces to enjoy at different times of the day. The house is in a quiet rural location off the main road yet just a 5 minute walk to supermarkets and 10 minute drive to Rinlo, As Catedrais Beach (stunning at sunset with low>mid tide), the beautiful Illa Pancha and Cargadero park. 20 minute drive to Porcia Beach, 50 minutes to Cudillero. Oviedo or Lugo within 1.5 hours. We hope to return for a longer stay and for seafood at Restaurante San Miguel by the marina.

The host provides all amenities and facilities you could hope for: toaster, coffee machine, fryer... They even provided milk and beer. The house is in perfect condition and spotlessly clean. The host, Ana, was very nice and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
