“Lovely authentic, light property in a great location”

Lovely light authentic Reykjavík house that was a joy to come back to. Far enough away from the bars to be quiet, short walks to the harbour and buses and right next to a left luggage facility.

superb location peaceful but convenient for bars restaurants cafes shops and the harbour and also pick up point for tour and airport buses.House was well equipped and comfortable.

Loved The House of the Snowbird! The perfect base for a fab few days exploring Reykjavík & the beautiful beyond. Everything is at your fingertips; museums, restaurants, cafes, shops, the harbour area & also close to a pick up stop for attractions out of the city. Charming, warm, clean & cosy with lots of thoughtful additions, I swear this gorgeous house hugged me back after returning from a full day of taking in all this fab city has to offer. Huge thanks to Elsa who went above and beyond ensuring all was well throughout my stay, she really made me feel a valued customer. The comprehensive information pack she provided was extremely helpful & even included an interesting history of the house. Not really one for souvenirs but was so captivated by this house I broke my own rules & bought a little mug from the downstairs pottery, just to remind me of my happy stay in Iceland & the beautiful House of the Snowbird ❤️

Very central with loads of restaurants within 5 mins, it had private parking and modern conveniences. Beautiful historic home furnished with lovely art and pottery, We had pleasure of meeting owner in the gallery down stairs.

“Another perfect stay in the House of the Snowbird”

This was our second stay in the House of the Snowbird, and it was again perfect. The house itself is super cute, and the appartement was again so nicely equipped abd decorated. The location is perfect, in the heart of Reykjavik, so one can safe a rental car.

Everything about this house is perfect, traditional Icelandic house in themes perfect position in the city. Warm and comfortable, would definitely recommend.

This was an absolutely beautiful property in an excellent central city location. The host, Elsa, was wonderful and attentive, and gave us all the information we needed for the property, as well as the local area. Would recommend the House of the Snowbird to anyone visiting, and we would definitely stay here again!

Full of character, we loved learning about the history of the property. Very tastefully decorated and well appointed. Lovely artworks. Great location, with loads of restaurants nearby, and close to the Harpa concert hall. Very responsive host, good to meet her. Charming pottery studio and shop beneath. Fantastic stay, would definitely return.

Amazing location and a charming lil home in the heart of the city. Easily accessible and an amazing host. This has to be one of the best kept secrets in Reykjavik. Will definitely stay here again when we return next

“Not just an amazing stay, a real Icelandic experience!”

This historic property is centrally located in the heart of the old town of Reykjavík with everything you could need on your doorstep or within walking distance. The host Elsa was excellent, she made the entire stay feel warm and welcoming. A comprehensive information pack and messages leading up to check in made everything super easy and expedient. The house was extremely cosy, heating and hot water in abundance. The beds were very comfortable, a week long of great sleeps. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend staying at the house of the snowbird.

The Snowbird is a beautiful house and the flat was so nice and cozy! It was clean, has everything you need and Elsa's art work gives it that extra touch ;) We felt at home the moment we entered the house and liked it very much. The location is perfect, everything is close by and easy reachable by foot. Elsa is the most amazing host, she sent me clear instructions about the check-in and information about Reykjavik and some local insider tips ;) She also checked if everything went well after our arrival and I could always contact her if I had any questions or needed anything. She is one of a kind :)
