The staff is fantastic and we appreciated the breakfast - it's quite enough to get you started on your day to explore.

Simple, but acceptable breakfast for being a hostel.

Good nice location.... Aurora guesthouse consists of a main building with small breakfast area reception and some rooms other buildings nearby divided into areas ours consisted of 4 bedrooms with communal bathroom and area with sink microwave and fridge very smelly drains in communal bathroom..ours was a very small room slow wifi....breakfast located in an area hardly big enough for the amount of guests and the choice was minimal....We had to leave early on our departure day to catch our flight and would miss breakfast I made what I thought was a reasonable request for some sort of a pack up to take with us when I eventually got a reply it was NO breakfast time starts at 7 the attitude being take it or leave it...given the cost of accommodation generally in iceland compared to the rest of Europe I thought this attitude rather mean.... I have to say I found Icelandic people generally very obliging so the attitude of what staff we me rather strange.....

The location of the hotel is unique in the heart of the city and it is the very good combination of price and comfort.

Room was clean, great location just by the main church, parking available on the street (if you are lucky you can find it in a free parking street, otherwise you need to pay but it's not too expensive). The bathroom was very clean, however we were sharing it with 5 rooms so it was often busy. Overall, positive experience.

The hotel met our request for a ground floor room which was great. The room was small, but everything functioned well. The breakfast was simple, but again all we expected for the price.

I had a really great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. First of all, the location is absolutely one of the best. The hotel is situated right next to a famous church and in the very center of the city, which makes everything extremely convenient. It’s also very easy to navigate — you can see the church from almost anywhere, so it becomes a perfect landmark to find your way back. Another big advantage is how easy it is to get around. The bus station is only about a 9-minute walk away, which is especially important since it’s the main way to get to the airport. Most tours also depart from there, so getting from the hotel to the bus station is quick, simple, and very convenient. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, and I had no issues at all during my stay. I was also pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts. They were simple, but very tasty and satisfying — personally, I found everything I needed and really enjoyed them. Overall, everything was clean, convenient, and well-organized. I had a very positive experience and no complaints whatsoever.

had a great stay during my trip to Iceland. The location was convenient and easy to find. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, which was perfect for the cold weather. The host was friendly and provided clear instructions and helpful tips. Everything was well organized, and the environment was quiet, allowing me to rest well. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to others visiting Iceland.

“In love with this Hostel”

I loved everything in this hostel - room/ bed / staff mainly the breakfast and the location. They provide us an amazing breakfast with many types of bread (😍) and many options. The location is too near the main church of Reykjavik and the Rainbow street what makes easier to walk in the center of the city! I really really loved this place!
