Overview
Fosshotel Baron has a central yet quiet location, within a few minutes’ walk of Reykjavik’s main street, Laugavegur, and the waterfront promenade. It offers en suite rooms and apartments and a generous breakfast buffet. All of Baron’s accommodation options are equipped with satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. Some rooms have elegant late 1800s-style décor, while others offer views of the Atlantic Ocean. The breakfast buffet includes freshly baked bread. Drinks and snacks are available in the bar. Staff can help arrange excursions to attractions such as the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss and the Geysir. Within 10 minutes' walk is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as whale watching excursions. The shuttle bus for Keflavik Airport stops right outside the hotel.

“Good balance price versus what it offers”
The hotel has a perfect location - 20 min walk from the main bus station (BSI), 5 min walk to the path along the ocean, 5 min to one of the busiest streets and surrounded by good cafes. The staff was very nice. Breakfast has plenty of options for all tastes and preferences.

“A very nice economical choice.”
A very quiet hotel. Walking distance to Restaurants and close to pick up for the Golden Circle Tour. Also easy to go walk along the path along the Atlantic. Breakfast Buffet was very good and staff service was exceptional everywhere.

“A warm friendly place.”
It is a very cozy place. Neat and warm. The room was cozy and clean. No luxury suite but if you're like me, and only need a comfortable place to sleep and wash yourself while on holiday, then it's more than enough. The bed I had was very good and I slept very well.

Staff were very helpful and professional. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy. Location is great, and when the construction works are finished, the hotel is an official pick up location for the tourist attractions.
