This location really exceeded our expectations - the Villa is a beautiful house with everything one could need for a longer stay with family or friends. The host was very nice and helped us with directions to the local market and other places. Also, the location allows for exploring a lot of places around - from nice beaches to lovely villages in the mountains.

The property is of a very high standard in terms of facilities (pool, BBQ, rooms etc), provision of utensils (plates, cutlery etc) cleanliness etc. We were met and introduced to the villa and location by Theodosis who was warm and welcoming. The few questions we had were dealt with promptly in a very professional manner

“Fabulous Villa Holiday”

Great location - 2.5km from the beach and shops and in a quiet residential area, but everything accessible. Myli gorge also only 4km away which is beautiful, and a must visit while you are there. A car is recommended. We felt very posh with the electric gated entrance! There is a butchers, bakery supermarket, and tavernas at the bottom of the hill. We particularly liked Taverna klimitaria - the food was delicious. The beach closest to the villa is very busy, but nice enough. We ventured a 15 minute drive west and found a lovely quiet cove at The Paradise Dive centre with free beds, parking and a beach bar that serve you on the beach. Space! As a party of 8 (2 families) there was plenty of room and different lounge areas to relax on comfy couches and to eat together, or not! Everything you could possibly ask for in the kitchen, very well equipped and a fabulous outdoor bbq area. Theo kindly also left a welcome pack for breakfast as we arrived late which was very much appreciated. We made great use of the panini maker! Also appreciated the plastic cups for the children to use outside. The balcony with a dining table is perfect to eat or play cards while watching the sun set. (Packs of cards also available there). All doors and windows have mossie doors/nets and a wonderful breeze runs through the house while keeping it bug free! The cicadas are very noisy ( I love to hear them) and there is a Cockerell in the area that seems to like to chatter all day, but the whole house is very quiet when the doors and windows are shut, so sleep is not disturbed at all. Air con in all the rooms is effective. The pool! Quality, comfortable loungers and pool towels available. Pool was cleaned daily and surrounded by olive trees, flowers and plants and pretty lighting at night. The sun is on the pool area all day but the parasols kept us cool in the midday heat. Light coloured paving so the floor isn't lava!

Beautiful villa. Plenty of space to relax, both indoors and out. Pool, garden and grill area were absolutely lovely. Even an outdoor pizza oven! Rethymno is only a short drive away. Driving from the villa to other parts of Crete was also quick and easy due to the central location of the house. The host, Theo, was extremely welcoming, thoughtful and generous. A brilliant family holiday.

The villa was immaculate, as soon as you pull up you can see how beautiful the villa is and the surroundings. The pool was perfect with sun beds and umbrellas all around, inside the villa, the bed rooms where spotless, numerous different areas to relax. The host Theo was amazing, very helpful, friendly and it was a pleasure to meet him on our holiday. I can’t recommend this villa enough and already plan on returning next year.
