“Comfortable, quiet, and central”

Very comfortable and quiet room. Great central location near the sea, the fortress, and parking. We loved the attention to design in the furnishings.

The room is wonderful, the staff helped us with every request, and the location is excellent—central yet very quiet. We were welcomed with a basket of snacks, a bottle of wine and raki, and water and juice in the refrigerator. We highly recommend this place!

Firstly, the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond expectations. The standard, and cleanliness of the property was a ten out of ten. The proximity to all the amenities that beautiful Rethyemon had to offer. All the items left for us in the welcome pack was really appreciated ie: assortment of teas and coffees, fresh fruit, crackers and cheese, protein bars, and of course a little bottle of Raki and local wine. Can't recommend this property and staff highly enough.

“More Than a Stay — A True Hospitality Experience”

It wasn’t the beautiful room with its elegant furniture and premium linens. It wasn’t the warm welcome with raki, wine, water, and juice. It wasn’t the small tray with toast, jam, honey, and butter. It wasn’t the coffee options for the perfect morning start. It wasn’t the spotless cleanliness. It wasn’t the fluffy towels with their fresh scent. It wasn’t the excellent pillow selection, whether firm or soft. …It was the hospitality. Hospitality that I felt even before arriving, from the detailed instructions on how to collect the key. I sent a simple “thank you” to the lady who shared the instructions, letting her know how satisfied I was with my stay. They replied immediately, and the owner asked to meet me during check-out. Her handshake, her smile, and a small surprise gift elevated the entire experience. A truly exceptional stay at Marea Boutique Suites!!!!!

“Fantastic stay in the center of Rethymnon!”

Perfect stay! Comfortable room, kind hosts, small family-owned hotel, in the middle of the center. Everything was good. If we visit Rethymnon again we will come back! The hotel has no parking, but you can park nearby at the harbour. It’s a 2 min walk and not expensive.

“Beautiful centrally located suites”

The suites are new well designed and immaculate. Very central location. I have mobility issues and the ground floor suites suit me perfectly. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Well equipped with snacks,fruit,raki, water, orange juice a selection of teas and a coffee filter. Absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately they close for the winter. I hope to return in 2026 for more nights.

Beautifully newly renovated boutique hotel, so central to everything but still quiet! Would absolutely recommend this hotel. The hostess was lovely and informative. An overall fantastic stay in Rethymnon

“Excellent location, arrive early if by car”

The location was great but still quiet. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby. Hotel level accommodation with excellent bathroom, including toiletries and bathrobes and slippers so despite mentioned challenges ok. I did not personally meet the host so no rating included for them. Arrival info was good (but all info could warn about parking).

No breakfast. Not a problem. Had facilities to eat in. Lefter is was there waiting. An extremely pleasant gentleman. Took cases up for us and explained all. Contact numbers etc.

“Beautiful, well-maintained hotel with great staff”

A charming hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a great location in the old city. Despite the central location, you don't feel the noise of the city. The room is beautiful, sparkling clean, decorated and meticulously maintained to a very high standard with thought for the little details. The beds are some of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious. The hotel staff is lovely! Very kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay!!!

Our third time staying here and we love it! The staff are so lovely and they do everything to make your stay the best. It’s clean, new and great location and n old town.

“Perfect stay!”

Everything was just perfect! Everyone was so lovely and helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bed, linen, pillows were of the best quality and made for a good night's sleep. There was a lovely selection of snacks/water/coffee/tea etc in the room along with some Raki and wine, such a warm welcome! The location is very central to the Old Town but tucked away so quiet at night. I had my own entrance with a table and chairs outside to enjoy a coffee in the morning! I am planning to return in a couple of months 🙂
