The Casa Maistra staff can arrange for car or motorbike rental, and will be happy to assist guests with tours and excursions. Guests can use the free municipal parking close to the hotel.

“Perfect town centre location”
Having visited Rethymno twice previously we knew Casa Maistra would be perfectly located for our needs. It is within a 5 min walk of the main car park, 10 mins from the beach and just a short walk to the many restaurants in the old town. Marinos, the owner, was very responsive to our queries before we’d even arrived in Crete and remained so throughout our visit. It was a lovely touch to come back to the apartment one day to find a delicious apple and cinnamon cake he had purchased for us 👍. The apartment we had was a city view and consisted of a living room with a small kitchen in it leading through to the downstairs bedroom. Between the two the bathroom is located. In the bedroom is a spiral staircase which leads up to the mezzanine floor above on which the second bedroom is located. It is from this bedroom that the roof terrace is accessed. The door to the roof has an electronic security shutter for added peace of mind. The door from the street is opened using an electronic keypad as is the apartment door. We found this very useful as we didn’t need to remember to take keys with us when we went out. There are TV’s in the living room and both bedrooms along with an air conditioning unit to match. The kitchen has everything you could need, a kettle, a coffee machine, toaster and a microwave along with a selection of crockery and cutlery. A fridge is also present. The bathroom consists of a large sink, toilet with douche shower and a large walk in shower with a rainfall head and a lower wand shower. By way of extra facilities there is a small laundry room on the first floor. We made use of the washing machine a couple of times and our items dried in no time, on the provided clothes rack, once placed up on the roof terrace. Word of note if you don’t read Greek, the TV’s menus are in Greek as are the controls on the washing machines. We simply used the camera view on Google translate and managed to log ourselves in to Netflix etc and work out the correct setting

We recently had the pleasure of visiting this house, and it truly impressed us in every way. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it instantly feel like home. The layout is practical yet spacious, offering plenty of natural light throughout the rooms. What really sets this house apart is its view and location. “Beautiful house at a perfect location.”
This old house is perfectly restored. The stone walls and restored ceilings are just beautiful. The house lighting is also very impressive and makes it look even better. The restoration is really a work of architectural and decorative art, if you like that sort of thing. Aside from aesthetics, the location is also perfect, on the waterfront. We went out for a drink on foot, all the cool bars and clubs are extremely close. The second bedroom is upstairs, which was also very nice for privacy, as we were there with friends. Fully equipped too, there's even flute glasses for sparkling wine.

"Sea Panorama" is a spacious, luxurious & stylish two bedroom (100 m²) holiday suite, located at the top level of Casa Maistra Hotel, offering unobstructed views of the Cretan sea, the marina of Rethymno & the beautiful Rethymno beach promenade. The first level of the maisonette consists of a spacious living/dining room and a beautiful open plan kitchen. The sea view balcony, restored in the traditional Cretan architecture, will surely set your mood for a late night drink in a romantic holiday atmosphere. An interior staircase leads up to the upper level where you will find the bathroom, a study area with an extra sofa bed and two spacious bedrooms with double beds. Maximum number of guests is 6 for the Sea Panorama suite plus a baby bed. The apartment is set on the second floor of the building and the access to it is through two sets of straight stairs from the street level.
One-Bedroom Suite
This luxurious holiday maisonette suite, has a traditional Cretan character. Beautiful Mediterranean skylights illuminate the whole dining room and kitchen area as you enter the first floor of the apartment . The main bedroom room gets ample light from the traditional Kiosk windows that overlook Rethymno's Old Town agora and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis church. A wooden staircase leads up to the extra loft bedroom and grants access to a roof garden, overlooking Rethymno town. One more guests can be accommodated in the dining room on a single sofa bed with a comfy mattress. Maximum number of guests is 5 for the Agora suite plus a baby bed. The entrance of the apartment is set on the first floor of the residence and the access to it is through a 20 step straight staircase from the street level.
Two-Bedroom Suite
Two-storey maisonette with beautiful view to the sea, the harbor, the marina and the old town. decorated with a relaxed style with and traditional elements in the architecture. Sea View holiday suite is located in the first level of Casa Maistra Hotel. At the first level of the maisonette features there is an open plan kitchen coupled with a dining/living room and a spacious bathroom. Further in you will also find a comfortable double bedroom with a private sea front balcony with beautiful view to the sea, the harbor, the marina and the old town. An interior staircase is leading from the living room up to a second loft bedroom with access to the roof garden. A fourth guest can be accommodated on the loft bedroom (by opening out the single bed to double) or on the sofa bed in the living room. Maximum number of guests is 5 for the Sea View suite plus a baby bed. The apartment is set on the first floor of the building and the access is through a 20 step straight staircase from the street level.
