“Private space on the boulevard”

Beautiful and private space. Only 6 rooms and great personal service. The cheaper rooms with Balcony are definetly the way to go. No need for a jacuzzi in my opinion. For breakfast i would recommend Bora Bora next to it.

“Not quite luxury”

We stayed in a loft suite sea view room. It was just as shown in the photos. Rooms are new, very modern and clean. Well decorated. View from room is good with a nice balcony too. Bed is very comfortable. Shower is hot and great pressure. The manager and staff were really helpful and very apologetic for the issues we had. They gave us some wine, chocolates and olive oil to apologise. They were very friendly and genuinely hospitable. Overall it was an ok stay but given the issues we had, it was not quite luxury.

“A wonderful home base to explore Crete from!”

This was lovely two-level suite, with a beautiful view out over the beach. It was thoughtfully designed, and had everything we needed to enjoy Crete. The thoughtful touches of complementary raki and treats were a nice touch. Wifi was good, and the AC did a great job of controlling the temperature. The suite had both a shower (downstairs) and full bath (upstairs) which was a nice touch, and the water temperature and pressure were both great. Free parking was always available for our rental car beside the property, which was very convenient.

Calla was the perfect spot to stay. Amazing service, the staff were very friendly. The rooms are as pictured, with thoughtful attention to detail. The pool is lovely and its close to the beach, shops and restaurants but not too in the thick of it so it still feels relaxing. Highly reccomend it!

“Amazing boutique hotel in beautiful Rethymno”

Michael and Katja (and son) have created a wonderful boutique hotel, as Michael calls it "big hotel in a small size", absolutely wonderful Every little detail was considered (bag for towels, bump protection for the head when coming down the stairs, best quality body lotion) The suite had everything- excellent shower, good bath, enough towels (also beach towels), a kitchenette, a large living room, 2 ACs, convenient stools everywhere The design of the suite was impeccable and so beautiful with 'smart house' features everywhere and very convenient to operate (electronic curtains, lights etc.) The location is right on the beautiful beach with free sunbeds and umbrella ,the beach is cleaned and prepared daily Located near the beautiful old town good supermarket near by Car parking easy to find Michael helped us in everything we asked and gave us good advice on where to travel and when, Katja prepared a good list of recommendations online The whole feeling is you are well taken care of with the highest quality products and human care We were so sorry to receive the sweet farewell gift because it meant our stay there was over ;-) but we do hope to come back to this amazing hotel Thank you, Michael and Katja !

“Fabulous stay in Calla”

Everything. This hotel, its staff, and all that it offers is fantastic.

The suites are really luxurious, not just in the name. Modern, elegant rooms, perfect location. The owner was was one of the kindest and most helpful person we ever met. It has its own beach with really comfortable beach beds.

The apartments fully match the photos, and the price is absolutely worth the value you get. We really appreciated the warm attitude towards guests – this is a family-run hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner are offered according to your preferences, and the service is excellent. On the beach you will always find a free sunbed. The hotel also has a small pool area, but since it is located right on the seafront, you may not even need it. The apartments are regularly cleaned, towels are changed, and we even received lovely compliments from the kitchen – either during breakfast or directly delivered to the room (fresh fruits, cookies, and local treats). This added a very special touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied. If we visit this region again, we would definitely come back!

“Calla is absolute luxury and relaxation!”

I stayed here with my sister on holiday. Gorgeous location, incredibly kind people, delicious breakfast and coffee. Comfy loungers on the beach with drinks, food, complimentary water. As a boutique hotel they really make sure that their guests are taken care of - you will not be fighting for your daily sun loungers here like at a big resort. I cannot really express how much we enjoyed our time here. The owners are thoughtful, and truly are passionate about this business and it shows in the personal touches. They had a curated list of places to eat and visit as well which was a huge help. We would like to say thank you so much to the team at Calla who were nothing short of exceptional, and probably make everyone’s holiday special - we hope you all get to have as good a holiday yourselves!

The best thing about Calla Luxury Suites was the attentiveness of the owner and staff. They were very helpful, trying to anticipate our every need. The bed was very comfortable and the room was stylishly decorated. The room had a fridge and a proper sink and bottles of water were provided every day. The power shower was great.

“Amazing Hotel!”

Beds were so comfortable! The view of the sea was amazing and our breakfast was fab! Fresh orange juice and fruit every morning! Also great coffee! Being served drinks and lunch on the beach and at the pool was a luxury! We felt very pampered and rested!

“Exquisite stay by the beach”

The room was extremely confortable and luxe. I appreciated code system to enter the room, no need to carry a card. The overall vibe was very chill and relaxing, being a small boutique hotel there is no noise or hustle and bustle from other tourists. The beach is really nice, quiet, confortable sunbeds. The service was extraordinary, staff is well trained and kind, they also provide some food and drinks, perfect for a long day at the beach doing nothing. I totally recommend it.

“A small boutique hotel where the guests are the centre of attention”

A charming family-managed small hotel which stands out for location&position: -beachfront: the private sandy with some pebbles beach with free transats and umbrellas, cleaned everyday is separated from the hotel by a small road. It has beach bar service and a glass of ice water is offered to each guest. -Supermarket at 30 meters. -the harbour and Rethymnon old town at 1,4km walking along the sea promenade with plenty of restaurants. But what really makes the difference is Katja, Mihalis and their small team. Their experience in Horeca field and perfectionism are translated into all the details which made us feel pampered all the time. Besides the sweet welcome gift, free coffee capsules, tea and water supplied everyday into the room, they are there everyday to ensure quality staying for their guests, to see if we need something, provide info and suggestions and help as much as they can. They projected this hotel and run it having the sea and the client as focus. So: - there is a full view of sea from all the places (in the 1st floor rooms one can see the sea from the bed). - the ammenities are high quality and the premises are thouroughly cleaned every day. All is new, the modern technology combines with an warm artistic touch. - although not noisy, the windows ensure an excellent soundproofing and privacy as they are mirrored from the outside. The anti mosquitos doors are much appreciated and helpful. So as the electronic panel to control lights. - communication prior arrival very prompt. - wi-fi works very well, including on the beach Breakfast is tailor made based on the guest prefernces from the a la carte list. In addition, everyday a greek pastry is offered. Photos to the room we stayed in and to the common areas are very accurate.

Absolutely beautiful!! Modern, clean, perfectly decorated. Owners are truly wonderful. Shops and supermarket either side and the gorgeous beach right in front of you. Pool area is delightful and artistic. Food is great. We will be back!

Lovely hotel and we had a great holiday. The staff were excellent
