We really enjoyed staying here, the incredible team went above and beyond every day. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The manager, Filio, was so incredibly welcoming. She checked in on us every morning at breakfast to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Her attentiveness was wonderful. Irene in reception was so lovely and welcoming from the moment we checked in. Despina, the chef, prepared breakfast which was a highlight of our stay. She prepared an amazing variety of greek food that changed every day- it is sad to leave with such amazing breakfasts provided each morning. The housekeeper, Huria, was very friendly, kind, and helpful. The rest of the staff were also very welcoming. We really appreciate how the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely return if we are ever in Crete again.

The room was big and well layed out. What was missing were hooks to hang clothes and towels on. Breakfast could be better with more variety of bread. Beach is very close and clean and we enjoyed the lounge chairs.

Lovely staff - extremely friendly and helpful. Good position - just across the road from the beach. Nice balcony with sea view, although no sun as North facing. We stayed in room 204. The pool is small and quite enclosed, but it does get the sun in the morning. Decent breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold buffet items. Complimentary wine and water on arrival. There are plenty of decent restaurants nearby. The walk into the old town, along the sea front, took around 25 minutes (€7 by taxi) where there were lots of other bars and eateries. We had a lovely few days. A big thank you to Filio, the manager, and all the other staff.

Stylish and cozy boutique hotel on the seafront in Réthimno. We picked this hotel because of its excellent location — right in the middle of a long seafront, where we loved running and walking. The hotel has its own small beach just across the road with only 25 comfortable sunbeds which make the stay even more intimate. Guests don’t have to pay for sunbeds (but have to order one drink per person, which you do anyway if you spend time near the sea). The hotel looked very stylish and cozy. The terrace with a sea view where you could have breakfast in the morning and drinks during the whole day was amazing. There was a small swimming pool inside the hotel which was a perfect place to enjoy quiet atmosphere and relax a bit. The room was spacious, clean and stylish, with a small sofa and a balcony overlooking the sea. In addition, it was super important for us to have a peaceful and relaxing place and the hotel room had a very good sound isolation, so we didn’t hear anything happening down the street. The team of the hotel was super friendly. Filio and Irene at the front desk were always available for any kind of questions and requests . We really appreciated our warm communication, we felt like at home. The variety of food during breakfast was pretty good. You could choose from different kinds of bread and pastries, eggs, vegetables, fruit, Greek yogurt and some sweets. As the recommendation to improve — it would be great if you shouldn’t pay extra for the coffee on the bar during breakfast time (espresso, Greek coffee), as not everyone drinks black coffee that was served and included in the price. It would also be a plus if guests could receive the water in the room or at least have access to it in the hotel. In general, we had a lovely stay and can recommend this place for those who travel to Crete.

“'Our' special place”

We liked everything. To be more precise, we loved everything. Everything was beyond any expectation. The staff was unbelievable. We felt like home. Starting from the front desk, Filio and Irene were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was not a thing that we asked for and they didn't help! The bar/beach staff was great. Always pleasant and smiley. Nikos, Ioanna, Anna, Georgia, Pantelis, Markos, you are all great! Breakfast was a surprise every day. On the first day we thought 'ok, not massive, but good' and then the next day something different, and the day after, and so on. Despina (chef) was making sure that everything was top notch, delicious, fresh and plenty. Thank you!!! After breakfast, Billy (chef) was taking over. The chicken focaccia was phenomenal, and the club sandwich, and the greek salad, and... During the late hours, Giorgos (bartender) with a huge smile, had the perfect drink for our demands. Mrs Nouria was making sure that every day we had a tidy, clean and immaculate room. Did I mention about the room interior? Stylish, modern and elegant. Did I say about the mattress? The most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. We felt in love with the bathroom. The walking shower, the double mirrors, the toiletries, the lighting, everything was perfect. I can go on and on to describe how our stay was, but I'm afraid words cannot describe it. We felt like we were staying with friends. A massive thank you to the whole team. You do an amazing job, and it feels effortless. You're genuine and definitely hospitable. Your smiles and warmth made our holidays perfect. P.s.1 The hotel team helped with our last minute idea for pre-wedding drinks, literally the very last minute. They did the decoration and had proseccos and glasses ready for our friends within minutes. P.s.2 Yes, we got married during our stay, and we celebrated my birthday too. Ammos will always be 'our' special place.

“Great location and warm hospitality”

One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location – a beautiful beach is just across the road. We especially enjoyed taking a morning swim before breakfast, which was a wonderful way to start the day. The welcome was exceptionally warm and friendly, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. Our family had mixed opinions about breakfast – some of us really enjoyed it, while others just had a croissant and fruit. However, the variety was good, so everyone could find something they liked.

Everything. Perfect 5* The Ammnos Suite was an excellent choice for our stay. The whole place was spotless and very well maintained. There is an elevator that takes you comfortably to the higher floors, and the pool was cleaned daily by the staff. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. The location is perfect – just a few steps from the beach, where sunbeds are available with drinks if you stay at the suite. The city center is also within easy reach, about a 15-minute walk, and the inner city offers plenty of fantastic restaurants, from fancy options to cozy, homemade-style places. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The room was very spacious, beautifully designed, and the interior was modern and comfortable. Overall, this is definitely a five-star place – highly recommended!
