The place has the feel of a tired home and the staff is kind and patient. The place is relatively central to the things we wanted and the place is clean and well-kept. It's worth coming.

Location- very closed to Rausu Port, for Nature cruise early morning departure. Convenient.

“Convenient, comfortable and a culinary treat!”

Fabulous location right on the waterfront. 2 mins drive to the boat harbour for our dawn ice pelagic boat tour. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was absolutely divine! bread made with locally grown and harvested wheat was a welcome treat and the slice of venison, among other delicacies melted in the mouth. Hopelly I can stay longer next time! Sayonara.

“Perfect for a short stay”

The hotel and rooms are modern, very well kept and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was made with local ingredients and was tasty. A separate children's dinner was served which our son really liked.

Food! The hotel was run by chefs actually, and the food quality was superb. The hotel had a small but well selected library. The ocean was visible from the room.

Location is near to Shiretoko Nature Cruise office and pier. Interested to try out their included set dinner.

We came for Whale watching and stayed for one night. Our room was very clean and had all necessary toiletries that we need. We had both dinner and breakfast here, they were all very excellent!

“Amazing resident chief”

Rauso is the last stop before entering Shiretoko National Park. Shiretokoserai is well located on the main road at waterfront. Our room can see water from our window. It's a small hotel, or a hostel. I missed the sign when we arrived so went straight to tourist information centre, though I have got rough idea where it was. We've got all essential stuff for staying. The dinner was amazed us. Obviously the chief has spent great to create such a well presented set meal with local products. We love to meet those items/food from local producers. He is surely a talent chief. Though we didn't drink any wine that night, the dinner was fully engaged us.

This place is great. The food and service were exceptional. Thanks to Yuki for taking such good care of us at dinnertime and thanks to the chef for delicious meals. I wish I was still there..

Very nice location and amazing high quality breakfast and dinner!

I stayed for a night at the guest house. It was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. Great restaurants in 5-10min on foot for lunch. Possbily the guest house closest to the ocean in the town.

Love the whole concept. Many power points in the room. Room is decent size for Japanese standard. It's clean. Food and service are excellent. No complaints.

My wife is vegetarian and the food was excellent.

The food was absolutely amazing. The location is also great to do whale watching, which is easily in walking reach - according to a local the whales are better seen in the afternoon (I was not disappointed). From the "harbour" I also saw a stunning sunset (depending on the season you might have to hurry with dinner ;)

“Memorable stay”

Sea view from room. Room is big enough to open luggages. Dinner was great with Japanese Italian fusion food, love chef’s creativity. Breakfast serves western and Japanese food. Love their home baked bread. Location is along the road to Bear Rock and waterfall. We spotted many deers, fox and a black bear when we drove out from hotel before dinner. Highly recommend.
