Overview
With panoramic views of the Raufarhöfn fishing village in north-eastern Iceland, this hotel is located on the Melrakkaslétta plain. It features a sea-view restaurant with a bar and terrace. A wardrobe, desk and private bathroom with a shower and toiletries are provided in all rooms at Hotel Nordurljos. A variety of dishes, including fresh fish, are served in the on-site restaurant. Bird watching is a popular area activity, along with trout fishing and hiking. With 1.5 km of the hotel is an indoor swimming pool, sauna and the modern Arctic Henge monument at Raufarhöfn. The Arctic Circle is only 8 km from the hotel.

“A great journey to the northernmost town in mainland Iceland!”
We received a warm welcome on arrival and it was a relief to discover the lift to help us get our luggage up into our very spacious room. The room had plenty of space to open both suitcases (AND walk freely around the room!) as well as a desk to sit at and sofa to relax in. The bed and pillows were the best we've experienced in Iceland (plenty of pillow options in the wardrobe). We slept better here than in any of the other accommodation so far on our 3 week tour around Iceland.

Very kind staff. The hotel is very nice and located right on the harbor of the town. As the town is very small, there is the possibility to have dinner in the hotel.
