The space at 4 Seasons Holiday Home was amazing, it was a large house all rooms were spacious. The outside area where we spent much time was lovely, looking onto jungle trees. Mali was a wonderful host making sure our stay was comfortable. She gave us lots of information about the area and where we could go. Mali and her husband Janeke took us in their car to show us all the local restaurants and hotels in Ratnapura where we could eat. Even offered to take us to show the migrating birds settling on the phone wires in the evening, however we opted out as it was raining heavily. Mali is so kind and considerate we will not forget 4 Seasons Holiday Home this is where to stay while visiting Ratnapura and just a short walk to town.

“A place you would return too 😊”

The unit is way more than you expect. The photos on booking.com don’t do it justice. It is super clean and every detail is considered. It has everything from a fully functional kitchen, dining room, living area, bedroom and bathroom. It even has a huge balcony that over looks a wonderful lush garden. Right behind is more forest we could walk through. We also got to see them in the construction faze of creating a huge natural pool, only a couple minutes walk from the property. Our hosts went above and beyond to look after us. Taking us on a special tour of all the things we wanted to see. An incredible waterfall, mine, a private gem museum and gem cutting. Ratnapura has so much to offer. This home is a very good price for what you get. Highly highly recommend a stay here 😊

“A complete house!”

One of the few places where you have a whole house to yourself. Therefore very good for long stays. The hosts were very helpful. I don’t think they see a lot of western tourist, which made our stay even nicer.

“PERFECT, perfect, perfect!!!!!”

4Seasons Holiday Home was an excellent experience and exceeded our expectations. The house was extremely clean with excellent lighting and many fans. You get an entire house with a huge living area, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, big bedroom with strong AC, big bathroom and huge balcony. The bathroom has hot water, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and a new toothbrush. We had fresh clean towels offered. There is filtered water directly from the tap, as well as multiple bottles of water throughout the house. Janaka and Mali were AMAZING hosts and we felt like they were our Sri Lankan mom and dad. They were so warm and kind, and extremely attentive. There are waterfalls around that you can visit, and of course the gem market is strong. There are various gem markets to visit including cut and polished market and the rough market. We also visited a few mines close by. The town is a 5 min walk away from the house to get anything you need. We would definitely return here when we come back to Ratnapura.

Calm and peaceful setting. I was pleasantly surprised to see the stream behind the property. House had everything needed. Very clean. The hosts are very friendly and very accommodating to my requirements.

Location is very close to the city centre. Wedid not used the breakfast at the location.
