We were doing a long distance walk on the royal canal and were very grateful to the Fitzgerald's for picking up and drop off in Ballynacarrigy. Beautiful place to stay.

Host is very friendly and accommodating. Very clean premises, location had everything I needed, twin room, shower and toilet, plenty parking, wifi available also. Breakfast very good the next morning.

The lodge is beautiful and the surrounding countryside is sublime. Its such a beautiful area like fairyland, and might well be, as it is a very special and sacred place I really enjoyed my stay with Anne and Michael. They are lovely people, so friendly and hospitable They are also very accommodating. Very patient with me squirelling away a lovely plate and other bits of crockery overnight and leaving gaps on the breakfast table 😄 The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable It was great to have the ensuite bathroom And everything so clean I would definitely like to go back there again some time

I had to travel to Longford to view a business opportunity, 3 days after a very quiet birthday so I asked a very good friend to tag a long, the type of friend that would bring money to cover you if you needed anything, so I thought I’d make a cheeky night of it as I’d be working from 6-2 anyway, so serving coffee in soul shot with one hand and booking with my other I booked a room for only one person 🙈🙈🙈on arrival and just discovering what I did, the most beautiful lady appeared, Anne, you went above and beyond for us Anne , had an amazing night but it all started with your hospitality 🫶the don’t make them like you anymore, thank you for inviting us into your home, and if anyone is need of a beautiful place to stay, the Inny river lodge, guys, I can’t promise the craic we had in mullingar🤪but I can promise Anne will see you straight ❤️❤️

We had a fantastic stay at the Lodge. We were welcomed with great warmth and a lovely cup of tea & coffee. The bedrooms were amazingly clean, beds were comfy and the shower was perfect. Our breakfast was really tasty and plentiful. Anne couldn’t do enough for us, recommending and booking an evening meal and offering travel advice. It was a really lovely place to stay.
