“Nature gateway in a cosy bamboo hut”

I like the novelty and privacy of the concept - every guest/group has a small bamboo hut of their own! I love the 2nd floor - the view of bamboo leaves and sky, and the glimpse of mountain. It was a great getaway to nature (like loud frog croaks into the night) for which I’m glad there was a mosquito net over the queen-sized bed on the 1st floor (but there isn’t one on the 2nd, and the bed is considerably thinner and smaller though it might be possible to fit 2 people). If you’re looking for the full-blown mountain experience, this might not be the ideal spot since you can only glimpse it (though you’ll definitely see the mountains as you drive out to explore), but if you’re looking for an idyllic retreat to the countryside, it’s a great reasonably-priced option. It is run by a friendly couple who can do pickups (Thb100 per ride to and fro the city, which is a fair estimate when compared to prices on the Grab app). They also did a half-day tour for me (I visited Hin Khao Ngu park, Wat Tham Nam and Wat Khao Chong Phran to see bats) for THB500. There is also an excitable puppy called Som Tam (aka papaya salad in Thai).

Pictures do not do this place justice. Such a nice host and the hut has everything you need and more. So well laid out, spacious and homely 100% recommend this place.

Not only that the two natural huts here are absolutely lovely, but the couple who own them also do everything to make you feel completely at home. It is an exceptional homestay here. We loved it.

The hosts were wonderful. Dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. Idyllic one room hut just as photos describe. Private bathroom. Exceptional lake views from private garden out the back. Would highly recommend this stay

This place is just perfect for those wanting to escape from crowded cities and relax in nature. View on the lake is awesome, same as the sounds in night. I had wonderful time. Although, not for everybody, if you have fear of wild little animals such as lizards, better take a hotel :)

Owner is very lovely and cares a lot. Tree house is outstanding and amazing. Privacy is at max, since its the only house right now. Please be aware- alll this comes at the prize of the surrounding wildlife 😁😉

“Extraordinary!!!!!!”

Its my favourite place in the whole world! If you love nature, you just MUST visit this place. I been surprised how beautiful and very well equipped everything was. You have your own shower with beautiful view to the lake and mountains. Breakfast was extraordinary. I was so sad to leave this place. Sounds in the night is so beautiful. Drinking coffee in the morning, listening birds and enjoying beautiful view. Owner is amazing person, so caring and friendly. I coudnt ask for more! For such a small money, you get sooooo much! I travel a lot, i been to many different posh hotels and places, but this one os absolutely my favourite. We will definitely be back again. Thank you 🙏

I really recommend everyone who search a peaceful place with a fantasic view to stay at royal mountain hut. We become everyday a delicious breakfast from the owner directly to the bed. You can hear all the animals at night, pure nature. The owner are super friendly and even brought us to the train station. always again!!
