“Relaxing island vacation”

Comfortable accommodation, especially with the air-conditioning and private pool. Lhia was amazing to deal with and TikTok and the kittie cat made it feel like home. Location was good close to amenities, but it would have been nice to have walking access to the beach.

Gorgeous place, ideal location close to Muri. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Was also accompanied by Tik Tok the dog who is amazingly trained and is such a darling, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed her company when having our morning coffee outside.

The house was very neat and everything that we wanted. Its location was good. Owners gave clear directions to find the residence. There are no street names so they decried it well. Bed was comfortable. A few indies but they had mosquito coils that did the trick.if you are worried by roosters crowing that might be problem. They didn’t worry us

“Fab stay”

A fab place to stay. Hosts were excellent and very helpful with lifts to church, markets etc and the fresh fruits gladly accepted. Very convenient for catching the bus and a supermarket nearby. The pool was very welcome after a day out. Excellent stay and would revisit.

Great location, the accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The pool was perfect for cooling off in. Tony and Liah were very kind delivering fruit and avocados to us throughout our stay. They gave us good recommendations of places to visit or dine out. It was a wonderful holiday and definitely stay there again.

The location is right outside of Muri, where a lot of the action on the island takes place. The accomodation was super clean, comfortable, and situated in a quiet little neighborhood that was both private and centrally located. Having a private pool was a plus on a hot day! I felt like we found the perfect spot. We were so happy that we didn't stay in a resort/hotel surrounded by other tourists! We enjoyed everything about this spot, including the hospitality from the hosts, who were kind and very easy to deal with.

We loved the location . The 2 bedroom unit was spotless, the plunge pool was a bonus , the extra facilities on the property which included a washing machine, carport, snorkel gear; outside table and chairs on the veranda made it, owners were very friendly and respected our privacy. Water station was 100 metres away.

“Lovely to have space and a pool”

Mango Cottage is lovely and spacious with wonderful airflow. It was fantastic to have use of a washing machine and under cover drying. Tony was very helpful in providing local information and the plate of fruit and avocado was so generous and very welcome. The pool is lovely. I thought I would miss the larger hotel pools but the pool is quite deep and very refreshing - it completely revived me when I got a bit hot and sticky. I found all the pools I swam in in Rarotonga were freezing for the first 30 seconds and then divinely refreshing. Mango Cottage had a good range of kitchen items (including two coffee plungers) and plenty of towels. We were lucky enough to have hired a car so getting around to places near the property was very straight forward. Tour operators were also happy to pick us up at the end of the driveway. The bed we used was very comfortable and there are some lovely Island decorations around the house, which was so clean.

Our stay was amazing. ❤️ The home is beautiful with everything we needed especially with the bad weather at the start of our trip. Flyscreens on all the windows and doors so no worrying about pesky bugs. The hosts are lovely and have lots of helpful information about places to go. We loved the little pool, perfect for cooling off on the hotter days. Would definitely stay again. 😁

Had a lovely six night stay at Mango cottage, it had everything I required for my stay. Not far from Muri, small shop just outside of driveway and a larger one further down the road. The road on this side of the island is excellent and upgraded most of the way to the town centre. Pool was lovely and relaxing during the middle of the day and it had a shade cover. It was great having insect screens on doors and windows, had a lovely breeze going through the house, keeping it cool. Lhia and Tony were wonderful hosts. Thanks.

Everything was perfect, exactly what was advertised and more! lovely quiet spot off the road. All the visits from Fatty 💕 Great friendly communication with the hosts. “I know where I’ll be staying next time I visit Rarotonga - Mango Cottage”

Mango Cottage was perfect! I visited with my mum and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. Tony and Lhia were great hosts, they were on hand to provide advice or any answer any questions as required. They genuinely gave the feeling that they wanted us to have the best holiday. Tony provided some beautiful fresh fruit throughout our stay, this was a nice touch. (Thanks Lhia for opening the coconut!) The cottage is a great location, set back off the main road, a short walk to a little shop and 25 minute walk to Muri. The pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing at the end of the day.

“Nothing short of wonderful!”

What a beautiful, spacious cottage! We absolutely loved our (extended) stay here at Mango Cottage. It’s a little set back from the road so you have privacy, but also really safe. The plunge pool also gets sun all day so it’s a great place to catch some rays and cool off after a beach day. They have everything you need here including a WiFi hotspot and fully stocked kitchen. There a small shop 2 mins walk in one direction, and a larger one 10 minutes in the other. We didn’t get one, but I would recommend a car or scooter, which are great for the rainy days. Muri Beach is also a 30 minute walk away, making this cottage really well placed. Tony and Lhia were exceptional hosts and even though they were next door, we didn’t feel like we were being watched over at all. They’re very knowledgable about the island and have loads of suggestions of things to do. Also, we could not be more thankful for all the support they provided us when we became stranded due to the flooding in Auckland. Words cannot do enough justice for how much we appreciated their care. We would really recommend staying here and hope to come back in the future.
