Overview
Located on the sunset and sheltered west coast of Rarotonga, Castaway Resort is a small adults only resort offering fully self catering accommodation. The resort features a mix of rooms and villas with views over the pool, a white sandy beach, the pristine lagoon and beyond. All rooms are air conditioned for comfort and are equipped with full amenities. The furnishings and décor capture the tropical essence of the island, and offer light and airy beachside living. Castaway boasts a relaxed ambience, fantastic beachfront location, swimming pool, snorkelling equipment and kayaking. Complimentary beach towels are provided. There are 2 onsite restaurants and bars. Guests can enjoy lagoon view dining at Crusoes Restaurant & Bar with a themed night menu, or you can dine on the beach with your toes dipped in the sand at Wilsons Beach Bar, and experience magical sunsets. Castaway Resort is walking distance from nearby restaurants and car rental companies, and there is an onsite restaurant and bar. Onsite parking is available as well as access to street parking nearby. A bus stop is located directly outside the resort, connecting to the main shopping town of Avarua or a circle tour of the island.

Great location. Furniture was a little dated but spent most of our time outside on the balcony anyway. Shower was a little chilly at first but rectified when we let them know. Solar hot water with cloudy days always needs a boost. Very helpful staff.

Beachfront location with amazing sunsets. The food at the restaurant was excellent; the fish curry particularly exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location and beautiful beach view. Friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable. Fresh towels available for swimming and good supplies of tea, coffee and milk. Basic breakfast included in price was sufficient to meet needs and topped up every few days.
