“Dream in earth, peace love and wine”
The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the entire place is truly special. Fabrizio was a wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The property feels like a dream: peaceful, beautiful, and lovely in every aspect. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We would gladly come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and tranquil stay.

“A magical medieval experience in Tuscany!”
A truly magical medieval experience! Staying at this castle felt like stepping back in time. It is isolated in a stunning Tuscan landscape, surrounded by absolute peace and nature. It is a place definitely worth staying at, even if it's just for one night, to explore it and feel its history. We stayed in the comfortable apartments right next to the castle. While a few extra amenities could be added for the absolute perfect stay, it is genuinely worth every moment! A great tip is to buy groceries from a supermarket, cook your own meals, and enjoy them in the beautiful garden. The most famous Tuscan villages are about a 40-minute drive away. This was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences we had in Tuscany. A gorgeous castle! Highly recommended!

“Amazing place, amazing stay”
Amazing place. Even though we were expecting „old style” in the apartment everything what we found out there was over estimated. Kitchen had everything what we needed - maybe additional light in the kitchen would be great. Important note, this is an old castle with its own atmosphere, going through the opinions i had a feeling that some people expected 5* hotel here. The bed was very comfortable, apartment was big and high with its walls from past ceturies it was not hot inside (there is no ac of course), the temperature was perfect even that outside it was over 40C every single day (one day it showed us real feel 48C). The swimming pool is amazing and filtered all the time (1.5m-2.5m deep). There is very quiet over there, like in the middle ov nowhere what we had loved. The staff was very friendly, described neighborhood and welcomed us with a bottle of their wine, which was very good.

“Amazing place to relax in Tuscany”
Beautiful castle in a great environment. The view was amazing from the castle and the pool was huge. It was an amazing experience to stay at such a beautiful place. There are several houses and pools, but we stayed at the main area, next to the castle.

Fascinating, tremendous building, really beyond expectations. rooms were spacious and functional, pool was right to the nail head, as outside was really hot during our stay. Mocca pot was, again, straight to the nail head. Hosts and cleaning team were friendly and helping.

Castello Modanella in itself is a very beautiful place, surrounded by olive and grape fields. Very quiet and peacefull, so if you wish to RELAX, that's the spot to be at. Swimming pool was the thing!!! It was EMPTY, just for us :D!
