Arrived at the end of a long ride - to save me having to head back into town the owner offered to cook an evening meal. Very comfortable room and fine breakfast before I set off

Excellent breakfast with croissants, jam, selection of cheeses, juice, espresso or hot chocolate, bread. Eclectic building and friendly, interesting host. Fifteen minutes away from large lake leisure facilities. Bonus is the pinball machine and bar on site

Very quirky, traditional place with lots of fascinating antiques. Perfectly placed for an overnight stop on our drive from Calais to Austria. The owner is lovely, helpful, friendly and interesting to chat to! Nice little town on the river Meuthe nearby is good for a walk and something to eat.

found by chance, on our way through, we have been quite happy and felt welcomed nice place with a nice view, confortable bed, great traditional breakfast! The owner was also so kind to arrange for a nice supper since all restaurants in the neighborhood are closed on Monday.

“Roan L'Etape”
JC runs Le Jolis Bois with his wife and it is a rustic BnB nestled in the woods. The shower room with the skylight was lovely. The homely atmosphere with all manner of memorabilia made the home interesting.

“Enjoyable stay in a quirky property.”
The warmth and the helpfulness of the proprietor was the stand out feature of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a very enjoyable breakfast. The location is peaceful with a lovely country setting.

Good location to break the long drive from Switzerland to Calais. Friendly, helpful host who directed us to the nearest supermarket, offered to heat up food, provide plates, cutlery etc - and happily served us much-needed cold drinks from his bar!

Jean-Christophe was very friendly and knew a lot about the surroundings as well as the history. The breakfast was nice with fresh break and croissants. When he knew we liked cheese he added that too!

“Authentic and traditional in accordance with the Vosges mountain environment”
Excellent continental breakfast in an extraordinary authentic dining room composed by antique and traditional furniture. Fully in accordance with the Vosges mountains authenticity. On top of this, amazing WW1 antiques commercialized by the innkeeper, freely accessible in the main dining room. Innkeeper very friendly and providing an excellent service.
