Overview
Opened in December 2012, this Finnish Lapland property is set in Ranua Wildlife Park, 5 minutes’ drive from central Ranua. It offers a restaurant and modern apartments with free Wi-Fi, a sauna and terrace. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area and flat-screen TV are featured in each Ranua Resort Holiday Villas apartment. All provide a fireplace, drying cabinet and 2 bathrooms. Some units also have a washing machine. Shared facilities include a terrace, BBQ and children’s playground. Guests can enjoy activities at the on-site Ranua Zoo. Gulo Gulo also organises guided snowmobile and quad bike safaris, along with husky sledding tours. Rovaniemi, the Arctic Circle and Iso-Syöte Ski Resort are all about a 1-hour drive from the holiday village.

“It might have other option with better staff around”
Spacious village, but we got 2 village to accommodate our family better. Comfortable beds, equipped quicken and a “balcony” for the frozen forest which my kids loved it for making snow man’s there. The sauna inside the bathroom was a plus we loved. The staff at the clothing locker were very kind and one young lady in the front desk. The Ranua Zoo is worth a visit, kids loved it, but the staff really needs to improve their customer service.

Having all the activities on site, huskies, snowmobiles and having warm clothing & boots to use during the stay. We also enjoyed the zoo over a couple of afternoons. The staff were so helpful.

This place is outstanding! A perfect start to a trip to get the first Lapland vibes. We really loved both the villas and the overall atmosphere. We especially appreciated having clothes dryers in the villas, which was extremely convenient when traveling with children. The staff and the breakfast were excellent! This place is definitely worth visiting. We will certainly come back.

Beautiful location in Lapland with modern style decor. The log burner is large and very efficient whilst having a great look. The bed was very comfortable and the sauna was a lovely touch for the property

“Absolutley Magical!”
The property was huge with space to sleep 6 people, sauna, two bathrooms and a living area. Our back door opened onto the forest which was simply stunning.
