“Green getaway with great view”

We really liked the architecture of the houses and rooms, and the very well maintained garden with many plants and fruits to discover. The view, the breeze, the nice family and the food made it a special time for us in Ranong. We also enjoyed the scooter ride through the very green area with great views.

Soothing beauty 🪷 We witnessed one of the best sunrises of our lives. The hotel is located on a mountain overlooking a lake in a beautiful gorge. A ringing silence mingles with the sounds of the tropical jungle. The hotel has several small bungalows. They're budget-friendly, but everything is very neat and clean. The grounds are very well-maintained. The owners put their heart and soul into the hotel, probably because this hotel is not just their life's work, but their home. Rooms vary in size and view. We rented bungalow M1, and the view was excellent. I imagine the bungalows on the lower level would also have a great view. There's a steep climb up to the hotel. At the top, in the dead-end street, there's room to turn around. Parking is limited, but it should be enough for the number of bungalows. Breakfast is included. Lunch and dinner can also be ordered at the hotel. All terraces have large tables, perfect for gatherings. But it seems like there is no point, because the vibe of this place is completely different: to be in silence and unity with yourself and nature.

The location is absolutely stunning — the hotel is set on a hillside next to a large reservoir, with breathtaking views all around. It’s a peaceful place, perfect for digital detox and enjoying nature. Our family room had everything we needed, and the staff were very friendly.

This location was amazingly beautiful! Nestled into the side of the mountain with views looking over the water of the reservoir below. Breathtaking sunsets and a wonderful sunrise. Our hosts were wonderful and really engaging. It is a really unique set up at Homestay in Baan Hat Som Paen. The property is "vertical" as it is built into the hill. Stairs going up to main area and then some additional stairs to the individual rooms/pods/cabins. Luggage is lifted up from the street by a vertical elevator. Really unique and quite beautiful.

“Bungalow with an amazing view”

The location is very beautiful, the bungalows have a great view over the lake. The staff was not very proficient in English but they did their best to communicate and were super friendly. We first got a room where the AC was broken and they immediately offered us a new room.

This is an exceptional place to stay, the views are amazing and the accommodation was very comfortable and well designed. Nice gardens, and very friendly and helpful staff. We booked only two hours ahead of us arriving and we didn’t arrive until 17:30 but they cooked a meal for us and we had a lovely breakfast the next day. A stay we will remember

What an experience and unique place! Fantastic setting and view. Very calm, perfect to enjoy nature. The staff is ultra friendly and everything is done with passion.

Caring staff and good food. Great jungle and lake views and very remote. We stayed during a rainstorm and the jungle and rain noises where impressive.

Absolute delightful stay, we felt like family immediately. Food was delicious (try Pad Kra Pao!), the view over the reservoir was spectacular and (since everybody wants to know) the wifi was fast!
