We spent amazing time in Ranna Beach House that will stay in our memories forever. The biggest treasure of this place is the host - Dushantha, whose hospitality is just something else. He is also an extraordinary chef - the best food we had in Sri Lanka was here, cooked by Dushantha. This place is the gem of Tangalle coast, 100% recommended!

“Lovely location and perfect for a relaxing few days”

Beautiful location opening onto pristine beach with fishing boats. Lovely garden with shade from palm trees and enough loungers. Lovely pool. Nice breeze through the sitting area of house, fans and air conditioned bedrooms. Never felt too hot. Chef exceptional - we went to shops with him and observed how he bought the freshest and best value vegetables, fruit, fish and chicken. He cooked amazingly tasty meals for us. Our favourite was roti with curries. The villa manager was always available to help when we needed him. We had lovely massages they arranged for us and very much enjoyed our stay. Felt looked after and relaxed.

My Review of Ranna Beach House, Sri Lanka We were lucky enough to spend a few days at Ranna Beach House, and it truly felt like a slice of paradise. 🏡 Location & Accommodation The house is located directly on a secluded, palm-lined beach – quiet, peaceful, and simply stunning. The sound of the ocean, the sunsets, and the feeling of privacy made it a perfect retreat. The villa itself is tastefully decorated, very clean, and well-equipped. We especially loved the spacious terrace and the private pool overlooking the sea. 👨‍🍳 Staff & Service One of the true highlights was the warm and attentive house staff. The chef prepared delicious, fresh meals every day – tailored to our preferences ( child-friendly, mild spice). What truly stood out was how patiently and kindly they responded to all our wishes – nothing was ever too much. Whether it was adjusting meals, helping with laundry, or arranging excursions, they handled everything with care and calmness. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Perfect for Families We traveled with three children and felt completely at home. The pool was clean and safe, there was plenty of space to play and relax, and the beach was perfect for exploring and watching the fishermen. The kids especially loved the animals nearby and the quiet natural setting. 🌴 Surroundings & Activities From the house, we took some wonderful excursions – to a lagoon, a turtle beach, and even a safari. The driver recommended by the house was reliable, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. 💬 Our Conclusion Ranna Beach House is a perfect place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy true hospitality. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and personalized care, this is the place. We would mabsolutely return – a strong recommendation!

“The happy place”

If you’re looking for endless, secluded beaches lined with coconut palm trees and surrounded by stunning natural beauty, this is the perfect place for you. We didn’t see another soul for days in front of the villa. You can relax in the garden, gaze at the ocean, or take a refreshing dip in the pool. For a change of pace, cross the river to visit nearby hotels for drinks. The villa staff is incredibly kind and friendly. They prepared delicious meals, mostly authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, as often as we liked. You can either buy groceries in the nearby town or have the staff purchase them for you. A tuk-tuk is available at the villa for convenient trips around the area. The staff also arranged a driver for us, allowing us to explore Yala and Udawalawe National Parks, Mulgirigala Temple, Galle’s Old Town, a turtle farm, the Blow Hole, numerous beautiful beaches, and a rafting tour on the Kalametiya Lagoon.

The location is a dream. It is located directly on the almost deserted palm beach. The accommodation and pool were very clean. The staff Dushantha and Malindu were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast and dinner they prepared were delicious. We would love to come back

The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was a real highlight—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every time. The villa is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility. After a 10-day tour around Sri Lanka, we came here to unwind and recharge. I spent a long time searching for a place that would meet all our expectations, and I’m so happy that I found this villa. The villa is well-designed, spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. Throughout our stay, the caretaker, Suba, took great care of us, and Dushante prepared delicious meals. We also used the laundry service once, which was very convenient. Thanks to these two gentlemen, we truly had an amazing experience. Each day, we planned what we wanted to eat, and our wonderful hosts took care of all the shopping and meal preparation. Dushante even took us to Rekawa Beach, where we had the unforgettable experience of watching turtles at night. The villa is located directly on a stunning, long, and clean beach. The ocean here is wild, and the waves are not suitable for small children. The surroundings are quiet, with only local fishermen nearby. One thing worth mentioning is that many of the villa's fantastic perks were not listed on Booking.com, which is a shame. I highly recommend adding all the small details to the description, as it would create an even better impression (e.g., on-demand meal preparation, laundry service, transportation to the nearest town, assistance with organizing trips, a first-aid kit, etc.). We had an incredible time here, and even though we rarely return to the same place twice, we definitely have to come back to this one!

“Wish we stayed here longer!!!”

The property is absolutely gorgeous. When you enter from the main door you find yourself in front of a big clean pool, surrounded by a curated big garden with palm trees and beach view. You are literally on the beach where nobody walks by, but some local fishermen. The bedrooms are very big, with each it’s own big bathroom. Also, for the whole stay we had a great local butler who stayed at the villa and was always ready to help. He made us breakfast every day. He drove us to do groceries and cooked lunch for us. He booked us restaurants and arranged taxis when we asked for it. Including two masseuses who came to the villa to massage us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and we wished we stayed longer 🙏

“Lovely stay with young kids”

Lovely villa with spacious bedrooms and a nice living room and terrace facing the pool and the garden. Very convenient with kids. The beach is almost all yours and pretty but the waves are huge so young kids cannot swim by themselves. Location is remote which is good and bad (beautiful nature but a bit far away from places to visit - except Udawalawe Park and Mulkirigala temple which are easy to reach and both amazing to visit). Philip and Dushantha are very nice and were adorable with the kids.

Everything. It was great. Spacious rooms. Nice veranda. Staff was amazing. Philip the housekeeper was such a great caring guy.the cook prepared very delicious meals. The house was really great. We hope we can go back one day:) ❤️
