A stay that deserves 10.0 points!

“Great location and facilities, perfect host.”

Casa don Vicenzo worked perfectly for our four day stay in Randazzo. Its location on a quiet street with easy parking was ideal: a short walk to the restaurants in the centre but avoiding the maze of narrow streets there. We had a sunny terrace with a nice view out towards the surrounding hills. The room was large, comfortable and well equipped, with a fridge, kettle, and coffee maker. The bathroom was similar spacious with an excellent shower. Above all, Marta was a genuinely wonderful host, as highlighted by many previous reviewers. She could not have been more welcoming, more helpful (her restaurant recommendations were excellent) or more responsive to individual guests. Marta realised that we enjoyed fresh fruit for breakfast and clearly went out of her way to make sure we had a great selection of different fruit every day, alongside her generous buffet. Other guests were cared for in a similar way. As I wrote that I realised that ‘care’ is a key word here: we felt that Marta cared about us as her guests, not just customers. I can’t write a higher recommendation than that. For us, Marta and Casa don Vicenzo has set a new standard for what a 10 means in booking.com reviews.

“Top, top stay!”

Warmth of welcome, even the messages before we arrived were unusually warm and friendly. Marta is the perfect host, offering helpful suggestions about places to visit and good restaurants for vegetarians. We enjoyed a marvellous meal at San Giorgio e il dragone in Randazzo - quality cooking using local produce- at her suggestion. Our room was large, warm (it was February) and comfortable with a balcony plus fridge, kettle and coffee machine. Marta’s breakfasts remain unsurpassed : beautifully presented with loads of fruit, tasty bread, pastries, yoghurts, home baked cake, eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice and refills of coffee. She is very attentive and thoughtful. Randazzo is a good centre for visiting Etna and Nebrodi mountains and surrounding area. Local wine and olive oil seemed very nice.

“Wonderful host and very nice historic town”

The most outstanding aspect of our stay was the host, Marta. A very warm and sweet woman who is super hospitable! She has excellent recommendations about Randazzo and the area around, incl the north side of the Etna. The accommodation was super clean, private and large. Less then 5 minutes away on feet, you will be in the historic centre of town! Oh, and I have to emphasize the excellent breakfast, which included delicious brazilian pão de queijo (after we mentioned them as a memory from a previous visit to Brazil, Marta country of origin). PS: You can park your car free of charge on the street in front of the accommodation.

Incredible hospitality, unforgettable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome, rooms and breakfast.

Host Marta was amazing. Even though she doesnt talk english, but its possible to understand everything 😀 breakfast was super good!

“Never had better breakfast in Italy”

Comfortable and spacious room, vicinity to the old town and an extremely sweet, helpful and attentive hostess. The breakfast was incredible, and actually varied from day to day. Yes, you can have your regular fare of Italian biscuits, cereals and yogurts, but in addition you will be served local specialties, fresh fruits and pastries as well as continental staples like scrambled eggs and bacon.

“A hidden gem and a wonderful hostess in the heart of Sicily”

The property was very well positioned for visiting Etna and surrounding nature parks. Most of all the hospitality of Marta, the hostess, was the highlight and greatest gift. Her kindness and hospitality really made this 3 week Sicilian vacation so memorable and special. The breakfast was superb, made with Marta’s love. We will certainly be coming back to Randazzo and Casa Don Vincenzo. It’s such an authentic place and the food divine. We look forward to seeing Marta again. Thank you! 💛🌻

“Unexpected gem close to Etna”

We unfortunately just spent one night on our tour through sicily in Martha's B&B and would have liked to have more time there. It's rare that you find such a friendly and heartily welcoming host like her. The room was very modern, cosy and bigger than we expected. The tasty breakfast that she prepared at the preferred time was more than you could ask for. Thank you very much! :)

The host Marta and her husband was super friendly and helpful. Served the best breakfast on our trip. We will remember this place for a long time.

The landowner is one of whom you can learn how to treat guests. Everything was clean and on its respectfull place. Breakfast was rich and prepared with love. We had some problems and they were willing to helo us in and out. Very nice and good people.

Everything was fantastic, but especially Marta the host. So friendly and kind. She even recommended a few restaurants and made a dinner reservation for us. The breakfast she prepared in the morning was excellent. So much choice and utterly delicious. The room was also great. Spacious and comfortable with a large balcony with lovely views of the town and surrounding hills. Marta has thought of everything and ensured you have all you need and more, including a little welcome pack. The location is perfect, you can walk to everything within minutes. We highly recommend coming to Randazzo and staying here. It's wonderful. Thank you!

Everything. Marta is a wonderful host. Randazzo is an excellent choice for touring around to the Etna and the Nebrodi mountains, and the breakfast was perfect, a great start into the day. No problem to park the car. Thank you, Marta.

Marta is truly the kindest and most helpful host! She made our stay a delight and she helped with suggesting and booking places to eat, transport and many other things that made our stay easier. Her breakfast is exceptional and not to be missed. The room is spacious and comfortable, there is plenty of space to unpack bags, and the bathroom is excellent and is well equipped with a very good shower. The location was just outside the old town wall and convenient for the town centre. (We travelled on foot). Randazzo has a remarkable number of interesting and impressive old buildings. And if that was not enough, you need only look up to see Etna with its snowy slopes and wisps of cloud and smoke!
