Overview
Poring Hot Springs & Nature Reserve is at the foot of Mount Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu. It features bird-watching spots, a butterfly farm, a sulphur bath and an outdoor pool. Rooms at Poring Hot Springs & Nature Reserve feature a separate bedroom and living room, as well as a private balcony. Each has a satellite TV, minibar and tea/coffee maker. Some rooms feature an outdoor bathtub. Guests can cross a bridge over the Mamut River to reach the hot pools in the forest. Explore the abundant forest life from the Canopy Walkway. Other facilities include an orchid garden and tour desk. The on-site restaurant offers open-air seating. Poring Hot Springs & Nature Reserve is a 2,5-hour drive from Kota Kinabalu’s city centre. Airport transfers are available at an additional charge and must be booked in advance.

From check in to check out, this was a fabulous place to stay. We checked in after completing the Langanan waterfall walk, hot and sweaty, and the staff were awesome, bringing us cold towels and a refreshing pandan drink. The room was very comfortable, and staying inside the springs allowed us to stay in the hot springs pools after normal closing time. The breakfast the following morning was one of the best we’ve had, and it was served to you at your table rather than being buffet style.

“Very convenient location”
The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. Not particularly large room although the bathroom was very spacious. Located just a one minute walk to the hot springs entrance where dinner and breakfast are served. Loads of parking in front of the accommodation and the area is very quiet at night after the hot springs close. Attentive staff.

The room is spacious and has a private parking right in front of the unit, very convenient. Easy access to the Poring Hot Spring and Rainforest Restaurant. Walk around at the night and spot some special insects.

“Hot Springs with a difference!”
The room decor was fantastic. The welcome foods were a nice touch. Walk to Laggan waterfalls was tough.... but so worth it. Exceptional to swim after the hike! Dont try if your not easily walking doing 10km walks as it its also a 520m rise in height.

“Peaceful jungle retreat”
Everything was great, from the lodge we stayed in, the staff, the food, the surroundings! We stayed for a week, and had a fab time. Managed to do all the recommended trails. The pool area is great, with pools for all ages. The staff were very accommodating and carrying, and checking on us daily. Excellent communication on what's app. And a special dinner on our last night. We would highly recommend the Hot Springs!!
