We stayed for two nighs at the Hotel. The apartment was very cozy, clean, and spacious. Our host was very kind and hospitable. You can watch elephants every morning from your bed or balcony. The host prepared an amazing, budget friendly dinner for us and gave us a free tuk-tuk ride to go elephants bathing and see fruit bats.

“Nice place for visiting elephants”

We like this home and the owner! He and his family were very keen and helpful, picking for us the room with the best view over elephant orphanage. Also, we are thankful for the help with visiting the elephants and the ayurveda pharmacy park. I recommend staying here as the best choice for the value/price ratio. The room itself was spacious, with a wide balcony and decent AC. The breakfast was good too.

This is not really a hotel, it is a type of homestay, with a very friendly and helpful owner who is working to create a hotel. Its main advantage is that it is the only property that overlooks the Pinnawalla Elephant Orphanage park area.

“Best view”

The view was amazing! We could watch the elephants bathing in the orphanage. There was heavy rain the day before. So the elephants couldn't go bathing in the river. So people in hotels with a "river view" couldnt watch. But we could see them twice 😊 so if there is heavy Rain Fall it is a better option than a hotel on the Riverside. The room is really big and the bed is comfortable. In the morning we could watch a peacock. The owner also can help to organize rides to Kandy, tours through spice garden and elephant orphanage. But we didnt do.

Big clean rooms, good air con, balcony overlooking the back of the elephant orphanage. OK breakfast. Friendly hosts although limited English

Nice view on the river and elephant hill. Because of high water the elephants did not bath in the river. Location a bit remote, but managable by tuktuk or on foot. Breakfast was okay, simple, but tasty. They only have double rooms in different floors, so or family booked two rooms, but at the end decided to sleep all 4 in one bed. The manager was extremely helpful, took us to a place where children swam with an elephant in the river, fed it and rode it. Herbal garden was okay, prices ofnpriducts quite high. The manager pampered our children with coconut from the nearby tree.

The view was super cool. Nice big and comfortable rooms.

The room was huge, clean, modern, the bed comfortable and the balcony with view of the elephants great. Location just off main road so quiet. Walkable to everything. I ate lunch in restaurant on the river and saw the elephants being washed, then at 4pm outside the orphanage you see them all going back. Fabulous and free. The spice garden is great and informative. The owner arranges this for free.

A very beautiful, quiet house in a wonderful location. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and the view from the balcony is fantastic. The hosts are welcoming, always very helpful, and take excellent care of their guests. They provide helpful tips and information about the elephants and the surrounding area and arrange good drivers at fair prices. Breakfast was served at the time I requested and was very tasty and plentiful. Thank you for the wonderful days with lots of elephant observation and contact 🥰

“Worth recommending to all the travel”

Everything is likable there .. location was away from the hustle.. surrounded by flora and fauna.. Gigantic rooms with the utmost clean and tidiness .. Wide balcony where you can just sit and chill.. From your bed you can see elephants roaming in their enclosure .. Hosts' hospitality is worth mentioning .. and last but not the least 'Home cooked breakfast was mouth watering'.. Highly recommended ...!!!
