I just booked Shiranthi Guest House for a one day stay. There are some good things and some bad things. The location is good and easy to access.

Runs by a nice lady. This is my second time staying here. She upgraded my room. The ceiling fan had only one setting at high speed, so I asked for a pedestal fan if she had any and she gave me one. She gave me a mosquito repellent vaporizer as well but I didn't have to use it as there were no mosquitos in this room probably due to the window screens. If you encounter any issues, just ask her. She’ll do her best to accommodate your needs.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful homestay on April 24th, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. Despite Mrs. Shiranthi’s absence due to an emergency, everything was impeccably arranged upon my arrival. The seamless coordination and attention to detail made me feel instantly comfortable and welcomed. I deeply appreciate Mrs. Shiranthi’s generosity in ensuring that I had access to maximum facilities for the amount paid. Her commitment to providing a great stay, even in unforeseen circumstances, speaks volumes about her hospitality. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a warm, well-organized, and accommodating place to stay.

Located in a calm and quiet area. The owner is a nice lady who attends to the guests' needs and keeps the place clean. I had a shared bathroom with hot water but never had to wait in line. It was cleaned multiple times throughout the day. I was there during some of the hottest days in Colombo, so the room was hot even with the ceiling fan but there is a mini fridge in the room where I kept beverages to help with the heat. There are two round pin sockets on the wall near the foot end of the bed and she provided me with a universal adapter to use as well. I used a vaporizer to repel the few mosquitos that came at night. The owner said that she is also having mosquito repellents if I needed any. If you encounter any issues just inform the owner. She is very helpful and will take care of problems.

Shiranthi is a lovely host! room is comfortable and clean. location is nice and quiet and has restaurants and supermarkets very nearby. good place to spend a relaxing few nights in busy colombo

a lovely friendly host who couldn't be more helpful ...but the most amazing thing was the wildlife here in the middle of the city ...over a 4 day period I saw fruit bats , mongoose , humming birds , parakeets and an eagle oh and loads of miniature squirrels ...thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit again

“Best and Safe place for women”

Owner is so friendly and very kind lady. She is always caring her guests. She treats her guests like her own family members. I recommend this place to solo travellers ( specially women). I felt the place is very safe for ladies. Also I ordered my dinner and it was very cheap but the food was very tasty. You can find the place easily by using pick me or Uber.

The host was very friendly and the stay was comfortable. Definitely worth the price
