We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Horse House. It’s set in the peaceful Sicilian countryside, yet only around a 30-minute scenic drive from Mount Etna. Diego was a wonderful host and made the place feel very homely. He kindly provided breakfast ingredients including eggs, bread, butter, yogurt and fresh fruit, which was a lovely touch. The beautiful and friendly horses were an added bonus, and we especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio each evening. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic stay.

“Peaceful oasis”
Diego’s house was really nice with two terraces, garden and horses right outside the house. Diego also provided a cot and high chair for our baby. We enjoyed our stay!

Diego is a remarkable host who provided us with plenty of useful information about the area. The apartment is traditional, full of authentic features, and very clean. There is a large terrace where you can relax and enjoy watching Diego’s beautiful horses. If we are back in the area, we will definitely try to book Horse House again.

“Unique and special, quiet and spacious rural retreat.”
Beautiful location at the end of a quiet lane, with views off Etna hillside, over a horse paddock with fine horses, staying in an extremely well thought out private apartment with well stocked kitchen (choice of coffees) / dining / room, large and comfortable bedroom and very clean bathroom. The host is very helpful and welcoming. We wish we had stayed longer. The local village is delightful and has a very helpful post office, great coffee shops and local store.

Great location for Etna excursion and Catania exploration. Spacious enough for a couple with a small child. Horses just outside the window are beyond cute! Friendly host, clean, comfortable.

Really nice, cosy and quiet apartment in Sycilian style close to Etna (20 minutes drive). You can find there everything that you need : coffee machine, storage full of food for breakfast and all needed dishes.Diego is wonderful and wery helpful host.

Cute little house with private entrance and apartment. Diego had left the fridge and kitchen fully stocked on great food and fruit for breakfast and snacks and was very friendly. Nice private terrace which was really cozy.

The Horse House is such a special place. Close to the Etna in a quite and idyllic environment. We had a warm welcome. The apartment is traditional but clean and cozy. Cool inside (great during Sicilian summer). Our highlights were a beautiful quite terrace and the breakfast which provided local fruit and veggies, prosciutto and pistachios to start the day right.

very cute place in a peaceful corner, a short drive away from the cable car to Etna. The owner Diego is very attentive and helps with any requests immediately. horses are very beautiful and just a great to look at. loved the stay
