Penzion Kovac is located in Radovljica near the main highway from Ljubljana to Austria and offers visitors a beautiful view of the Julian Alps. We only stayed a short time at Pension Kovač. Check-in was a bit tricky, as the self-service machine didn’t work with all ID cards, but eventually everything was fine. Our room was in the basement, not the best location, but exactly as described so we knew what to expect. Breakfast, however, was excellent — tasty and varied, a very nice way to start the day.

Easy check-in and good parking space with charging stations. Nice 10 minute walk to the centre. Peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was great and service very friendly. The room was clean and spacious.

“Average”
The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The room was big. Nice parking without reservations. Self check-in (be sure you have the passport with you since you can’t use your national id). The lady from the breakfast was really sweet and helpful.

“Nice and comfy guesthouse near the Lake Bled”
The guesthouse was close to Lake Bled, which we reached by car in 10 minutes. The accommodation was nice with a large parking area. Before entering the accommodation, you need to check in, after registration, the machine will give you a code for the guesthouse, a code for your room and the room number. The room was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed, TV, refrigerator and air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The breakfast was very tasty with a good variety of options. The tables and everything for breakfast were well-prepared and clean.

“Would be great stay if room was the same as in the pictures”
Small hotel with a great self check-in system. Free private parking. For the size of the hotel, surprisingly amazing breakfasts and lovely lady cooking and serving them there. The hotel was kind enough to let us check-in earlier. For this and breakfasts - additional two stars.

“On the edge of the law”
I can't rate the sleeping area because we didn't stay there. This is the first time we have come across such behavior on the part of a host of a place to sleep booked through Booking. On 07/08/2024 I made a successful reservation for a double room for 09/02/2024 at Pension Kovač, Radovlica, Slovenia. On 08/31/2024, I received check-in instructions from the accommodation using the self-service machine.And on 01.09.2024, the unthinkable happened when we arrived, after having traveled 1000 km. we found out that there was a "mix-up" in the reservations and we will not be sleeping in the reserved space. WITHOUT OUR CONSENT, OUR PERSONAL DATA WAS USED TO MAKE A RESERVATION AT ANOTHER HOTEL AND ANOTHER POPULAR PLACE. We have been traveling with Booking for over ten years, but this is the first time something like this has happened and it is absurd in itself.Booking with Booking is above all a guarantee that what is reserved is guaranteed. With this action of the host of Pension Kovach, exactly that was violated.
