Overview
Offering a tennis court and spa with indoor pool, Sporthotel Kalcherhof provides a free shuttle to the Ratschings Jaufen ski area, 7 km away. It is in the heart of South Tyrol, 8 km from Racines. This family-run hotel has the rustic design of a traditional mountain property. It features a number of sun terraces and various gardens with sun loungers, parasols, a trampoline and playground. Rooms have a traditional design and all offer a balcony overlooking the Alps and surrounding valley. Sporthotel Kalcherhof is at an altitude of 1400 metres and offers beautiful views. Breakfast is a sweet and savoury buffet that includes eggs, cheeses and homemade cakes by the in-house pastry chef. The restaurant is open at lunch and dinner and serves South Tyrol specialities and international dishes. BBQs are held in the garden during summer and the restaurant's menu changes every season. The spa includes a hot tub, Turkish bath and a variety of saunas. One of the saunas is outdoors in a wooden cabin with a view of the mountains. Bikes can be rented at the hotel, which also organises horse riding and hiking excursions. Another sauna area with fitness room is set in the Alpenresidence Kalcherhof.

The quality of the food served at dinner time was really high. Breakfast is great too. Lots of choices and very generous. Tennis courts are great and included in your stay.

In the first room we received, there was a shower with a very low ceiling that made it impossible to shower while standing. We complained about it to the staff, and without any argument, we were immediately given another room with a large and spacious shower. The food in the dining room was excellent.

“Amazing”
Wonderful view, nice and clean room. Really good food and plenty of it! Clean and calm saunas in the annex building. The staff was lovely, everyone was nice and helpful. Transfer from and to the train station was included.

The leisure program, not every hotel does that, every nicht and also during the days several activities were purposed, like gala night like bingo night, and during the day also a snow walk tour with snowshoes! Lovely, thanks to the amazing Walter!

“Excellent stay for a ski holiday with the family”
We liked absolutely everything in the hotel. The half board was an excellent choice, great breakfast and a dinner we have not experienced anywhere else before. Great variety of really delicious food put together by the chefs, served by an extremely friendly staff making all your wishes come true. We have used the hotel owned ski bus to get to the ski resort in the morning and back in the afternoon. It brings you from the ski room of the hotel directly to the Kalcheralm lift. After the whole day skiing the sauna was great to relax for the adults before the dinner, while the kids could play in the swimming pool or cards in the lobby. The double room in the main house was very clean and big enough for 4 person.

“Comfortable stay in a beautiful area”
Amazing views in the area. The breakfast is decent. The rooms are mostly comfortable. Its a really nice drive, especially if you go over the mountain. It has nice amenities.

The breakfast is AMAZING! The swimming pool is beutiful and with a connection between the inside and the outside and is quite big - very impressive. The views are obviously lovely and location is unique. The dinner was nice and tastey as well The rooms are very big although we had the ones with the roof drop which we bannged our had into a couple of times :). It was clean as well.
