Overview
Only 100 metres from the pebbly Blue Flag beach in Rabac, Valamar Collection Girandella Resort features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant with panoramic views, bistro and bars. Free WiFi is provided in the lobby area and the hotel bar. The en-suite rooms feature balconies overlooking the park or the Adriatic Sea. They have flat-screen TVs and work desks. Valamar Collection Girandella Resort is 50 metres from tennis courts and it is possible to enjoy windsurfing, canoeing and diving, as well as mini golf and cycling. Between June and September a rich entertainment programme and sportive and recreational activities are performed. Breakfasts and dinners are served at the Girandella Restaurant. Istrian themed dinners and lunches for groups can be prepared upon request. Vegetarian meals as well as dishes for diabetics and athletes are available as well. Rabac and the region of Istria offer various excursion opportunities - guests can visit the towns of Pula and Rovinj or sail on a boat through the Lim channel, the only fjord of the Adriatic Sea.

The hotel blamed Booking.com for wanting to put we in a different hotel to the rest of my family. Apparently an issue with how Booking.com take the bookings.

“Possibly would have been better if not closing as the end of the season”
Breakfast/Brunch very good with lots of choice WiFi works well Good App with information about resort App works really well for putting on any maintenance issues or requesting an iron etc sent to room Beach and beds very good, lots of areas to choose from Room not a great size glad we choose a junior suite or would possibly have been very cramped Very large bed which is very comfortable (duvet wasn’t big enough for bed though it was a foot shorter than the width of the bed) Lovely promenade walk around the harbour with lots of restaurants and bars

“Maro is such a fun place”
We had a wonderful stay at Maro Suites, everything was new, modern and spotless. The reception staff was very friendly, the coastline in front is stunning, and bar prices were fair. We’d definitely come back again!

“The worst “resortl hotel I ever stayed in my life.”
The bed in the villa and nothing else. First of all it is called resort which is false advertising because this is a compound with 3 different Girandella buildings and 2 other hotels. Walking distance between a villa and a restaurant for breakfast/dinner is like an exercise up the hill. Also, parking is on another road level so good luck finding it if they don’t take you personally. Is is so complicated that you need a map or navigation to figure out on which reception you should check in because there is 3 of them. If you are coming with an electric vehicle, prepare for agony because the charging stations are not working and if they do, the procedure to connect will drive you insane. There is a million staff so every time you have a problem you will talk to a different person and explain thing over and over again which does not mean the problem will be solved but rather “we are sorry but basically we can’t do anything” in a Stepford wives fake robot tone and smile way.

“Not worth the spend”
