Overview
Set 2 km from Rääkkylä town centre, this B&B offers rooms with views of Lake Saimaa, just 20 metres away. Free WiFi is provided, as well as restaurant with terrace located by the harbour. Each individually decorated room at Paksuniemen Majatalo has a wardrobe and access to a shared bathroom in the hallway. BBQ equipment and 2 bookable saunas can be enjoyed, along with a library, art gallery and children’s playground. Bicycle rentals are also available at Paksuniemen. A brunch fitting guests' liking is provided daily, either in the restaurant or delivered to the room if pre-booked. Friday's are also karaoke nights and on Saturdays, live music is available.

“While not a city hotel standard, a really good and friendly place in a beutiful setting”
The location is very beautiful by a lake. The staff is particularly friendly and the fact that at least in the summer weekends the restaurant linked to the hotel is open until 2 am is helpful if one arrives late, as we did. There are two beaches for swimming in immediate vincinity of the accommodation. The staff have really tried to think of everything, and in the (shared) toilet there is even toothpaste available.
