Beautiful hotel, full of history, perfect location, good breakfast and great host/staff.

“Beautifully restored traditional house in perfect location.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Quseir Hotel, a beautifully restored traditional house overlooking the beach. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a shared bathroom but we were happy with that. The location , just opposite the main beach and a short walk from the historic centre and castle, was excellent. The owner and friendly staff were on hand to give information and advice. We would definitely book again.

“Very pretty hotel with friendly staff”

It is such a nice hotel. The staff is really nice and friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and so pretty with an amazing view to the ocean! Is was no problem at all the share the bathroom with one other double room as it was always clean. It was great that the times for breakfast were so flexible. They even have a small roof terrace where I enjoyed the sunrise over the ocean.

“Simple guesthouse with an authentic character”

The hotel met my needs perfectly, given the nature of my trip and my plan. It is not a luxury hotel or part of a well-known chain; rather, it is closer to a simple guesthouse with an authentic character. The building is old and constructed of stone bricks, with many classic wooden decorative details that give it a distinctive charm. The room was very spacious and had two king-size beds. The mattresses were not extremely comfortable, but they were not bad either. The sheets and some pieces of furniture looked somewhat old, and a few items were not in their best condition. The room features very high windows that let in plenty of natural light, which is wonderful during the day but might be inconvenient if you plan to sleep in during the day. The view is truly charming and worth keeping the windows open to enjoy it. Breakfast is Eastern-style, tasty, and satisfying. Tea is always available, as well as hot drinks in the ground-floor restaurant. The location is excellent, in one of the best areas of El Quseir, close to the main attractions, and with a direct sea view. My overall rating is 4 out of 5 because it perfectly suited my needs at the time. I would not recommend it for families seeking full hotel luxury, as that level of service is not available here. However, it is an excellent choice for a solo traveller or two friends looking for a short stay at a reasonable price, in a central location that makes exploring the city easy without having to stay far from the city centre.

Very charming and nice view

“Super well located, very kind staff and very charming place to stay in charming and authentic town”

Hotel is very nice, basic clean rooms, i had a sea facing room with great view. Shared bathrooms clean with plenty of hot water. Basic but nice breakfast served by very friendly and helpfull staff , who speak English. I found a one night stay was enough to see old town and fort as arrived early in the morning. Beach itself could be alot cleaner but looks nice for pictuers Local fish resturant 100 meters away serves fresh fish meals in evening which was very good.

“Real Egypt!”

We had a great stay at the Hotel el quseir:-). It's an old historical building: absolutely amazing! In a great location if you want to immerse yourself in “authentic Egypt”. In the middle of the old town with a view of the sea. The staff of the family business are very helpful and had helped us organize various transports. They also gave us great tips for restaurants and snorkeling spots. The breakfast was prepared with love and was very tasty (no buffet). We would definitely book this hotel again!!!!!

“Excellent hotel”

Very easygoing town, calm and tranquil historic guesthouse overlooking the beach and in the centre of the old town.

Those who choose the al-Quseir Hotel do so because they are looking for something more than just a place to sleep. The hotel is housed in a late Ottoman building that was renovated about twenty years ago. The renovation preserved the original spaces, materials, and aesthetic of the building, which stands directly in front of the seafront promenade. Unlike the soulless, ugly resorts in the area, this hotel has real character to spare. Furthermore, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. That said, there are some issues. The street is noisy, and the windows are not sufficient to ensure quiet rooms. There is one shared bathroom per floor, which is perfectly acceptable if one embraces the fact of staying in a place that has preserved the original layout of the house; however, the bathroom could be better maintained and more fully functional. Al-Quseir is well worth a visit for many reasons. Unfortunately, the town is still in need of significant restoration efforts and better-developed tourist routes, but between the castle, the remains of the Italian phosphate factory, a few historic houses, and the seafront, it is a place that is worth a thousand bland and monotonous resorts.

“Great Heritage Hotel”

A piece of history to stay at and listen to the story of a great town, located in front of the sea, vintage furniture, 3amer are helpful and cooperates well, sure value for money and exceeds my expectations for the price, the view is great from my room, the room are wide and air-conditioned but no bathroom inside, the noise from the street nice in evening but when to sleep it's a problem, the breakfast was lovely specially the the eggs, if you are there you need to stay 2 days to discover the place and area

Communication was great! Beautiful house, wooden windows, history pictures on the wall, nice. Nice beach, boys went snorkelling- too big of waives were there but more beautiful corals and shells than in Hurghada.
