We were very impressed with our stay at Vista del Angel Hotel Boutique. It's only a 15 min downhill walk to San Francisco square in the heart of the Old Town. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful including providing a map, accommodating dietary requirements, organising airport transfers and looking after our bags before departure (but after checking out). Our bathroom was spacious and renovated to a very high standard. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has some amazing art works adorning the walls and little nooks and crannies of staircases. There's a stunning manicured green-wall in the enclosed rear courtyard available for relaxing, as well as an open deck with vistas to Cotopaxi volcano. We dined all 3 nights in the restaurant enjoying a variety of delicious food and drinks, and the breakfast was comprehensive with fresh fruit, granola cereal with yoghurt, eggs and toast, and barista coffee. A highlight is the view of the Panecillo (and Angel) from the restaurant by day and night. Truly spectacular!

Fabulous. Loved every part of this stay. The staff couldn't do enough to help us. Views are spectacular. It is uphill so wear decent footwear. Breakfast was unbelievable. The best I've had in Equador. I plan to stay a few more nights after Galapágos. Top marks!

Location is perfect. Best views from your room. Private trips organised by hotel. Breakfast is so nice. Fact that there is dinner served at hotel. Beautiful building of over 150 years old. So beautifully decorated. David hotel reception and tour guide was a star - knowledgeable about his city and culture and the national parks.

Hi this is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Unfortunately we had an early flight so can't comment on the breakfast but the staff were kind & gave us a breakfast to go. The views from the top of the hotel are magnificent. The restaurant was also really good. I would certainly recommend . We are actually to booked to stay again on our way back home

“Friendly hotel close to Old Town”

Great room and lovely views from the terrace. Superb breakfasts and really friendly welcome. Good facilities in the room. Location was very close to Old Town - 10-15mins downhill and 20 mins on way home. Hills are steep but short. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Lots of interesting art on view around the hotel.

The hotel is very well located and really nice. The room was big, and the breakfast was really amazing. We also had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good and the view of the city was incredible! I would absolutely recommend it

Location is perfect to be able to walk around the most beautiful sites in Old Quito. 140 yr old boutique hotel - big rooms, incredible views and importantly terrific staff who were always helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, both delicious and good value. Made our trip to Quito very special.

“Quiet, scenic, and welcoming - a lovely place to unwind above Quito.”

The historic style of the building is lovely. It’s stylish and charming and has amazing views. It was quiet and relaxing, the room was spacious and comfortable, with loads of comfy pillows and cushions. The breakfast was fantastic, beautifully presented and healthy.. and the staff were really nice and helpful too! It’s walkable to the Historic Centre and they have a good selection of tours as well. It was the first place I stayed in Ecuador and I will remember it fondly.

The staff were fantastic and helpful, the breakfast was superb and the view brilliant. Walking distance to the old city and basilica but catch an uber back as it is on a steep hill!
