The property is family-owned and operated, and they treated us like we were part of their family! So friendly, accommodating and helpful. We had many early-day trips planned and were always sent off with a packed breakfast. They helped us get to and from the airport during our stays. Our room was cozy but had all the required equipment. Filtered drinking water was available in a jug in the room, as well as more in the kitchen. Easy access to public transport. ¡Gracias por todo!

Great place, family run pension. Exceptionally clean, rooms being cleaned every day, very profesionally run and all maintained as it should be. A lot of maps and guide books. Excellent breakfast, complimentary jug of water in rooms with a pipe of fresh water for everyone to serve themselves in the kitchen. Common kitchen to use and a paking fir for 3 cars. Highly recommended!

The property is conveniently located near Avenida Amazonas in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. More importantly, the owner and her son would go out of their way to make sure that all guests are treated like genuine friends. I highly praise and recommend this place to all travelers to Quito.

The most welcoming and homely stay in this family run hotel. The bed is the most comfortable we have slept in in all of South America. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! Such good value for money.

“Amazing stay in Quito”
Staff, breakfast, location. Carlos is been an amazing host, welcoming and helpfull in any steps of our holiday. We arrange with him the transport from/to the airport as well and allowed us to leave the bags for few days! The place is close to the metro, safe enough to move around and reach Carolina and the downtown by foot, breakfast was really delicious, drinkable water was always available and I will definitely recommend Posada Tambuca! Hopefully we will be back someday!

“Book it !!!”
The hosts Carlos and Veronica are super nice and welcoming, living in the place with their loveable dog. They are always available to attend you and to make your staying the best. My room was very clean and very well fornitured, with hot water, good atmosphere and colors and also with a hair dryer. The location is perfect, very central, 2min walking from a metro stop and 10min by bus from the center. I couldn't have not found a better place. They also have a parking where I kept my bike since I'm travelling with it, it was very safe. Don't doubt to book it ;)

“Family stay experience in Quito”
Yolanda & Carlos were amazing hosts, very kind, and great with the kids. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, and the shower was pleasant. The kids loved the bunk bed and the game room!
