The location was great, in the Historic Centre a short walk up the hill to Quito's Basilica or downhill to restaurants, bars and shops, and even at night we felt safe there. Casa Gardenia has a chic, open feel to it with great views from two lounges on different levels and a nice breakfast room and we felt very at home there. Andres and his manager Amanda were super helpful, and on the last day when the roads were closed for a religious procession, they helped us carry our heavy bags and cases up a steep hill to where we could get a taxi. Thanks to them, we were not delayed for our flight!

This is a charming converted old house a stone throw away from the old town with the best view from an enclosed terrace. Go there instead of the five star hotels in town. You won’t regret it!

Perfect location to explore Quito. It's located in a very safe area. We were able to walk just 5 minutes to 2 local restaurants and walking elsewhere was also easy and safe. It is a delightful boutique hotel too. We had 3 rooms booked for a family trip of 5 adults. All 3 rooms were spacious and comfortable. Transport was easily arranged through the hotel to and from the airport. Owner and staff all excellent, and they all spoke excellent English. Water was always available to fill water bottles. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. An amazing place to stop over for 3 nights!

The location in the old town is excellent, the staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, especially the male receptionist, who offers excellent and detailed advice, my room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and with a great view and easy access to the terrace, and the breakfast was very filling.

Excellent breakfast. Great views of the city and comfortable couches to sit on where you could enjoy the vistas. They have an excellent map with tourist attractions and recommended restaurants marked. It is on easy walking distance of the centre of Quito and nearly all the main attractions

Loved the simplicity of the rooms, location and epic rooftop views. The breakfast was also one of the best we had whilst travelling Ecuador and Galapagos. The staff were just fantastic, their English was excellent and they were super helpful in recommendations for quito and other tours. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags and head to En-Dulce for a great breakfast, coffee and cakes (worth a visit). Also visit the Basilica, it was the best $4 we spent in Ecuador and just round the corner.

Breakfast was good with a variety of food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was walking distance to Old Town. Due to the small amount of rooms hotel was very quiet at night. Hotel was in a safe area and very secure.
