“Warm welcome at the chateau”

Warm welcome from monsieur and madame Ziegler. A beautiful place enhanced by fresh flowers from the garden , a peaceful historical delight. The breakfast was exceptional, including home made preserves, all served in chateau style with the warmth of the fire in the big open fireplace. The bedroom had every comfort, including choice of pillows, bathrobes and hot and cold drink options and was well lit. What a charming place , thank you

Our hosts, Francoise and Alain were very friendly and helpful. We were very happy to have stayed here last year. That’s why we stayed here again. It is conveniently located for Dinan and surrounding countryside, and also for the ferry to Portsmouth. We appreciated starting the day with a sumptuous breakfast by a lovely log fire - the weather was a bit chilly. The property and grounds are extensive. A great find. One we will use again. “We couldn't believe our luck”

Beautiful chateau in the middle of the countryside managed by a very friendly couple. Breakfast is very good, and there are many lovely animals around. We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived here, especially as we booked last minute.

Fantastic hosts, great breakfast, beautiful room and surroundings. Close to Dinant (tip: free parking in P7 at railway station, easy walk to centre). Overall a perfect 5 night stay.

Françoise and Allan were tres gentile as hosts. Exceptional history associated with the Chateau and Francoise’s family - improved our French a lot! Breakfast was fit for a nobleman/woman!

Breakfast was very good. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They suggested good restaurants in Dinan and booked for us.

Must stay. Time travel but only the good parts. Very well taken care of every little detail. Most lovely owners make sure you won't miss anything. Short drive to Dinan, historic city centre, good places to eat. French breakfast with so much to choose from and all authentic tableware.

Staing at the chateau du bois riou, was defenetely one of our best experience ever !! The place is absolutely breat taking ! We felt like we are in a fairy tail !! The huge garden is amazing , and they even have a private pond and horses !! The chateau and the rooms where beautifully and taistfully decorated and we had everything we could have want. The breckfast was amaizing with home made jams amd paisteries and a butifull presentation. But the best part was the owners that were so nice and welcome us to their wonderful home with open harms, so many stories, and knowlage and even a battle of champagne !!! If you wish to have a one of a kind unforgettable experience this is your must visit stay !
