If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is it. The estate is in a stunning location in absolute peace and calm with only the sounds of the fauna surrounding you. The pool area and the balcony of this apartment have a stunning view over the mangrove. The host was very kind and attentive and we loved the space and the vibe of the apartment. I don’t think we could have found a place in Quepos more suitable for our needs.

There was no breakfast available at Puesta del Sol. It would have been nice to just have a continental breakfast and sit outside at the beautiful pool with a specacular view. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy.

Stunning views with wonderful wildlife and great sunset watching. Massive apartment with two bathrooms, plenty of space and everything you need in a kitchen. Jan was a wonderful host and such a lovely lady.

Everything was really great. The apartment, the pool, the view. Very well equipped and very comfortable. Easy walk to town and the harbour / waterfront where we enjoyed the local town vibe and watching pelicans diving. The local people were brilliant, happily pointing out wildlife in town for us ! We had never seen as many huge iguanas before and we didn’t need to go to a national park, just walk through town ! Very near to different attractions. But most all Jan and her husband Ken were fantastic. Really helpful and friendly. The three dogs were lovely, and they clearly enjoyed escaping through the gate when we opened it!!

“Lovely place to stay”

This is a lovely apartment, one of two rented out at the owner’s home. The other is let to a long term tenant who we never saw so it felt like we had the facilities to ourselves. Very spacious room with a huge bed plus sofa, table & chairs, kitchen area and bathroom. It’s located in an elevated position on the edge of town which provides for great views to the ocean from the terrace and pool. Jan and Ken are great hosts and Jan went out of her way to help us through a couple of issues we had over the time we were staying there. 15-20 minute walk to the town centre, slightly longer to the marina where there are great restaurants.

Couldn’t have asked for more, great location, the pool and garden space were brilliant and plenty of space to relax. Perfect for everything we needed. Jan and Ken were gracious hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

beautiful location and building, a pool with a view on the ocean and a great bed! very kind host. The location is on a hill where we could see the ocean from the pool. The garden has a lot of animals and is beautiful. The room is big enough and has a large bed of good quality with good sheets. The bathroom has a bath. The host is very helpful and kind. We loved our stay!

“Warm and welcoming stay in Quepos”

Jan's place was just lovely, and so was she! The flat was comfortable, characterful and private, with a lovely balcony. The shared pool is gorgeous, with a wonderful view. Jan is so generous and interesting, and we loved having a chat. The friendly dogs were fun to cuddle as well. Quepos is a great little place (much better than Manuel Antonio). Make sure you visit the Bon Bonete French patisserie, and the market on Friday and Saturday for great fruit, veg and crafts.

“Hidden gem with stunning views”

A true gem, hidden in the hills of Quepos, this accommodation has stunning views of the jungle and ocean, especially the sunsets! You can enjoy them from the swimming pool too! Jan and Ken were amazing, responding very promptly and ensuring we have everything needed, even snorkel equipment and towels. You get a whole apartment, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms both with showers, lots of space, aircon, terrace with chairs to enjoy the colibries, parrots and stunning views. We loved the dogs too, Marco and Chichi!

There are so many things to love about Puesta del Sol! The gracious host and warm welcome, the pool with a view over mangroves and out to sea. Beautiful sunsets. A lovely big bed in a comfortable room.

Lovely hosts, a magnificent view and many animals (monkeys, parrots, lizzard) that come and say hello to you every day. Really clean, nice swimming pool and a short walk to the centre of Quepos.

Staying at Puesta del Sol was amazing. Jan was very nice and accommodating. She has a beautifull garden and we really liked the view from the pool.

“One of the best apartments that we’ve had”

The location is amazing. Facing beautiful sunsets, like the name of the property says! The apartment is extremely comfortable and extremely well equipped : full kitchen very comfortable, living room that can also convert to two extra beds , two full bathrooms perfectly equipped, king-size bed very comfortable. The owner is the most wonderful and welcoming woman and she makes you feel at home from the moment you get ther e! one of the best places we have stayed at and we travel all over, ! We loved it!
