Such a lovely and charming place to stay. It’s not the easiest to find, and compared to northern Costa Rica it feels a bit more “tucked away,” as the property is fully fenced. But the moment you step inside, it feels like entering a different world. The rooms are small but very cozy. We didn’t have a fridge, but we did have air conditioning, and the beds were very comfortable. On the terrace there’s a spacious outdoor kitchen where you can help yourself to coffee and plenty of fresh fruit in the morning — and with a bit of luck, you might even spot some animal visitors. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful!

“Great nature stay close to Quepos”
Jorge and the staff were really lovely and made us feel warmly welcomed to Quepos. The property is a bit remote (5’ drive from Quepos) which makes it quiet and surrounded by nature. We woke up one morning with Squirrel monkeys on our balcony. 20’ drive to Manuel Antonio national park, it is also very easy to catch an uber to town.

“Schöne Unterkunft außerhalb von Quepos”
A very beautiful, well-maintained property surrounded by forest, just outside Quepos. There's a gated parking area on the grounds; we took an Uber into town in the evenings. We received a free upgrade because the small house we had booked was unfortunately much too hot. The large communal kitchen is a great place to meet other guests and chat. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us some good tips.

“Beautiful, would repeat again!”
Beautiful and peaceful stay close enough but outside of the busy town Quepos. Jorge was super welcoming and helpful with any needs and questions. Very friendly atmosphere, nice to have a kitchen and to awake with coffee and fruit prepared! Thankyou!

The hosts could not have been more hospitable. Great facilities and a short drive to Quepos. The property feels immersed in nature - the visits from squirrel monkeys each morning were amazing. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to CR.

“Living the Pura Vida lifestyle!”
Beautiful place with a family-friendly atmosphere, surrounded by nature. We were able to see many animals such as monkeys, macaws, and iguanas. We even saw a baby snake behind our bungalow, which was very beautiful and part of the amazing natural experience.

“Five stars out of five.”
My wife and I just spent 4 nights at Jorge and Pamela's guesthouse Pura Vida. Everything was really awesome! The place is very clean (including the common grounds - garden and kitchen/lounge area) and the rooms nicely decorated. Jorge is detail-oriented and very attentive to his guests, helping out to the extent possible with recommandations, helpful tips, fruits and coffee in the morning... he even gave us a ride. Really goes the extra mile to sincerely please his guests with a friendly smile. A very hospitable host who understands what hospitality really means! Well done.

“Lovely u9nique place to stay”
The quirky stream facing cabins were a fun and unique place to stay. Nature on your doorstep, we saw red squirrels. We saw no squirrel monkeys at Park Manuel Antonio, then six turned up in the trees while we were having morning coffee on the balcony. Free fruit and coffee in the morning. Kindness of the owner ,who dropped us on the main road for our bus to uvita.

Jorge is the nicest man- he was very kind to us, makes sure everything is comfortable and ready, in the morning he makes freshly brewed coffee and serves fruit. The rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable and you have everything what you need for the best Pura Vida experience in Costa Rica

We stayed in a really cute bungalow surrounded by lots of greenery and monkeys. It was a shared fully equipped kitchen which was emaculate for making your own breakfast and evening meals. Jorge was an excellent host, friendly and keen to assist with any tours and advice on Costa Rica. Property was situated in a very quiet area which was around a 30 min walk from town or you could hail a red taxi for a few dollars. Great area if you want to go horse riding in hills or San Manuel Antonio National Park.

“It’s a hidden gem that offers great options for every budget.”
A rural hotel surrounded by nature, very clean and well organized. Every morning we were offered some coffee or tea with fresh fruit — a simple but very thoughtful touch. From our window we could see monkeys every day, as well as macaws flying around, iguanas, and basilisks. It truly felt like being in the middle of the jungle. Their dogs, Molly and Jefa, are sweet and wonderful, and they really add a special charm to the place. The staff is very kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. We stayed in an economical room with air conditioning and a good hot shower, perfect for resting after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for people who want to be close to town but away from the crowds of tourists often found around Manuel Antonio National Park. Thank you, Jorge and Pamela, for such a warm and family-style stay where you can truly feel and experience the spirit of Pura Vida. Without a doubt, this is the nicest place we have stayed — not because of luxury, but because of its simplicity, warmth, and the closeness to a local family that made us feel at home.

The owners are the nicest people ever! Chill & relaxed, and after a long day in the national park, they offered me to use the swimming pool in one of their villas that wasn’t occupied at that moment. A little paradise in Quepos!

It fulfilled everything that was offered. We stayed in their budget rooms. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful; we definitely recommend it. The large shared kitchen is a great bonus—it encourages you to meet other travelers, cook comfortably, and feel right at home. Additionally, their bungalows with private pools are on another level. We were lucky to use the pool since the bungalow wasn’t rented at the time, and it was an incredible experience. Jorge is extremely kind and always willing to help with anything you need. On our last day, he offered to take us to the bus station and even gave us a small tour around the town, where we were able to see a scarlet macaw nest, a sloth with her baby, and capuchin monkeys. Every morning he offered complimentary coffee and fruit. They also offer breakfast for an additional cost. On our last night, we decided to try it, and it was delicious. Pamela prepares a traditional Costa Rican breakfast that is abundant and truly excellent. We spent four wonderful days with this lovely family. We recommend this place 100%!
