“Special place with incredible views”

The place is truly wonderful - Rey (the owner) has put so much effort into creating a special place with incredible views. Beyond the place itself, Rey is an amazing host. He goes out of his way to make sure you are having a great stay. Cannot strongly enough recommend this place.

Amazing location and views

“Amazing views over the port and a unique stay near Manuel Antonio”

We stayed one night at this property and really enjoyed the experience. The absolute highlight of the place is the incredible view over the port, which you can enjoy directly from the terrace. It’s a very special setting and makes the stay feel quite unique. The property itself was clean and equipped with decent amenities, and the bathroom was also nice and comfortable. Inside the house there is a separate room with a door, which was useful for keeping light and potential insects out during the night. The terrace and the main viewing area are designed in a very open way, which allows you to fully enjoy the scenery and observe birds flying around. During our stay we didn’t have any problems with insects or animals and were able to enjoy the views peacefully.

The apartment itself was amazing, it was spacious, had 2 hanging chairs so you could sit and look at the view if the ocean. The property was surrounded by trees and plants, where we could see Hummingbirds, a couple of macaws and the monkeys which visited the apartment in the morning and the evening. Frederico the host was helpful and was easily contactable if you needed anything. The property gad everything we needed. The location was perfect for us, only 15 minutes into town. Highly recommended

“Magnificent sea view and nearby Manual Antonio NP”

Magnificent sea view from our room. Having a beer in the hanging chairs with sea view was great. Very spacious living room. The living room and indirectly the bathroom are in an open area, which can’t be closed. The sleeping room can be closed by doors and have an airco. Monkeys are around the location, very nice.

“Not as advertised”

The pros- The view is amazing. The location was close to town which was nice for getting places. The communication with Rey was great until it wasn’t. He organized a tour to Manual Antonio park, which was great. After one night, I texted Rey that we were unhappy with the accommodations due to the fact that was not what was advertised (see below), he mentioned that he did have another apartment that did have AC throughout but it would be an extra $100 in addition to what we were already paying for. The cons- The description of this place does not match what the place actually is. It is advertised as “this air-conditioned apartment features 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom” and that is not true. The bedroom has AC. The rest of the apartment, the living room, the kitchen, is outside with no AC. Even the bathroom is outside. Because of the heat and humidity in Manual Antonio, we were unable to hang out in the living area as there is no AC there. This place would be perfect for someone looking for a Glamping experience (glamourized camping) as that is what it is like. Also, there is a lot of road noise at night. The kitchen has minimal utensils, the coffee maker did not work as well as one of the floor fans. Only after we left did Rey offer to give us the other fully air conditioned apartment without the extra charge of $100. If you know what you are getting (an apartment that is mostly outside in nature) you would like your stay here.

“Go here for amazing sunsets and macaws.”

Truly beautiful apartment where we spent three nights with pleasure. Beautiful location with fantastic sunsets and macaws and woodpeckers flying around. It’s steep uphill, but very much worth it! Good parking.

Lovely view across the marina and the sea with wonderful sunsets, and wildlife to watch around the house. Raymar was very helpful in organising trips and providing information updates. Mosqito net on the bedroom door and air-con in the bedroom made it very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.

“Amazing location in Quepos!”

Reymar is an excellent host and the apartment is in an amazing location, the views are stunning and the wildlife is great. I highly recommend this place!
