We had a fantastic stay for our honeymoon! The hosts thoughtfully decorated our room with balloons and wine, which was an amazing touch. The view of the lake and mountains right from the room was absolutely stunning and worth it alone. The motel has a lovely, classic charm, is incredibly cosy and comfortable, and is just a short, scenic walk into the heart of Queenstown. Highly recommend!

Just the stairs going up to the rooms, its hard if you have a lot of stuffs, you need to go back and forth but its worth it. Exercise in the morning.

I recently stayed at Lake View Colonial Motel in Queenstown for my birthday weekend, and it was absolutely incredible. The view over the lake was just stunning, and the stay was very affordable. The staff really went above and beyond! They arranged an early check-in, and even put a big “Happy Birthday” message on the neon sign outside. When I walked in, the room was perfect!! So cozy and warm, with a thoughtful personal touch - a home made card, a towel animal, and even a complimentary bottle of wine!!! The whole stay was just perfect, and the staff were wonderful!

Beds were too soft for my liking. We didn't, but if you had heavy bags - the stairs to the rooms is a drag. Completely unacceptable if you have a problem climbing stairs. The adjacent road can be noisy in the wee hours of the morning.

Friendly staff, had the heat pump on in the room for us before we arrived. The room was well appointed. Comfortable beds / pillows. Handy location to town at a great price. Pet friendly a big bonus.
